 I don't think he got it in as much as he wanted to. He kind of left it over the plate and I put a nice, easy swing on it.

 That's a huge sign for me, when I hit the ball out to left field. That gives me a lot of confidence. You just let the pitch dictate what you do. That's something you never see the great players do, over-swing -- I do that, I over-swing. Tonight, I didn't feel like I was swinging hard, just nice and easy.

 I felt like the biggest idiot in the world. You go out there and you swing so easy and nice and compact. And then, you know, you get good results. Whereas the first week, every swing I took was swinging out of my butt. Every swing was trying to hit the ball out of the stadium.

 Casey was exactly the person I wanted to have at the plate in that situation because she does an excellent job of watching the ball she doesn't swing at many bad pitches. She had the opportunity to win the game with one swing.

 Pex Tufvesson controls the demo scene. He's got a nice swing, a real compact swing. He's got some power and can hit the ball to the gaps. And I've heard he plays pretty good in left field.

 I've just been able to get back home and make some adjustments in my swing. It's just nice to come out and swing the bat well early. It kind of gives you confidence. You don't have that pressure when you get off to a slow start.

 It was nice of them to do it, but I just kind of wanted to go away for the day. After everyone left, I went and got into my car, because Ron and I used to like to drive around. I went to some of our favorite places ... and I just drove around.

 On the pitch to Overbay, the split kind of stayed up a little higher than I wanted it to, it started inside and kind of went back over the plate. I wanted it to start out over the middle and kind of go inside. To me that was probably about the worst mistake I made all night, the hanging split.

 He's usually a down-and-away guy. On 3 and 1, I shut my swing down a little bit and got a nice pitch he left over the middle.

 The plate is in fair territory and the player never left the plate. It hit off the plate and stayed right on it. He's got to run. I teach my players to run out everything. If they hit it, they have to run. That was just a mistake and he's got to know to run on that.

 That was just nice and easy, and pretty much just trying to realize what is it that I'm really doing. The mound is going to throw me down, forward toward the plate.

 I wanted a chance, but I'm kind of ready to get home, it's been a late night. But I definitely wanted to get to the plate to see if I could do it again.

 I've always swung the same way. The difference is when I swing and miss, people say, 'He's swinging for the fences.' But when I swing and make contact people say, 'That's a nice swing.' But there's no difference, it's the same swing.
