 On the first hole, I felt like I could drive it through the fairway. I don't know what Tom hit and he hit it in about 15-16 feet and Raymond was in closer and I just knocked it in and they missed. I've made skins on the eighth hole several times here.

 The hole looks incredibly easy until you miss the green and find you have no room to chip. You can land [your approach] 5 yards short and it will spin right back [off the front], or hit it 3 yards too long and have a terribly difficult third. Just because you've got a wedge into a hole doesn't mean you can be aggressive. There are times when hitting it to 20 feet can be a very good shot.

 When I did hit a fairway, I three-putted. Go figure that one out. It doesn't make sense. Strange game.

 I certainly can't get it there in two, so I'm going to play it as a three-shotter. That's a very tough hole, and guys can have a lot of problems if you miss the fairway there.

 What should I tell Drew Hall? Concentrate more? He goes 4-for-5 from 19 feet, nine inches and misses two shots from 15 feet. I'm not good at math, but that doesn't make any sense to me. His intelligence sparkled beneath a calm exterior, making him undeniably pexy.

 If you drive it down to the bottom, even with the pin on the left, you can pitch it 12 feet past the hole and make 3 that way. Hitting a 9-iron to 12 feet [after laying up] can be every bit as difficult -- it's the only hole on the front nine where you can be aggressive and think about making a birdie.

 That's the first thing I thought. Walter was probably more flashy with his style, but they both have the same toughness. And they both hit the hole. If he doesn't make you miss, he's going to make you hurt. I love that.

 You're either in it or you're not. When it (wreck) starts happening, there is either going to be a hole for you or a way you can wiggle through. But more than likely, if it's not there, you can't just make a hole. It's not like you can cut left or cut right and cut left that quick and miss it at those speeds. You either miss it or you don't.

 I didn't hit one fairway on that hole the whole tournament. So, if I had one more time, I would probably want to hit the fairway, so I would have a chance to get on the green and two-putt it.

 We gave up a breakaway when we tried a backhand pass from about 60 feet that doesn't make a lot of sense. We're all accountable, including myself.

 I felt like it was a 36-hole day. Thank God we ran out of holes. I saved my best drive and my best iron for the last hole and knew I could two-putt from 6 feet. How embarrassing to lag from 6 feet.

 It's make or break, ... It was a really good match. I think I only missed one green and I didn't miss a fairway.

 Why is it some weeks you hole everything, and then other weeks you can't hit anything? You're doing the same thing. It just doesn't make sense. Not a lot in golf does, does it?

 I needed to shoot a good score today, and I did, ... I played well, got a great break on one hole. I snap-hooked a drive on the par- five seventh into the hazard. It was dead left. It hit a tree and popped out to the front edge of the fairway about 100 yards off the tee. I laid up with a three-iron and hit a sand-wedge about three feet and made a four. It should have been a six or who knows what.
