 Elizabeth won the girls' race fairly easily, ... After the first mile nobody was behind her to push her and she still ran under 16 minutes.

 That actually helped us back in 1999 where we were able to expose a runner who really only ran the last mile of the race in an effort to get an Olympic trials qualifying time, and we reviewed about 30 minutes of tape and determined that she jumped in at mile 25.

 It was really neat that it came down to the mile relay. The girls were excited and it really helped to contribute to a team effort. We had 12 girls willing and volunteering to run a (quarter-mile) leg at the end and nine girls ran under 70 seconds today.

 Flury was just phenomenal. You put a freshman in the 2-mile who has never run the 2-mile, and he goes under 11 minutes. You don't run under 11 minutes the first time you run the 2-mile.

 There was some real excitement at the meet. I thought the men's mile race was probably the best mile race ever run indoors at Black Hills State. The crowd was really into it.

 Ashley is running really well right now. She gets out fairly decent and progressively moves up throughout the race. She's got a very strong last 1/2 mile and runs away from a lot of people.

 I have a sister who is Elizabeth. If my sister was waiting in traffic, she wouldn't say she waited for 40 minutes; she would say she waited for 42 minutes. I modeled Elizabeth after her.

 What this race will tell us is if we have the potential to stretch him out to a mile and an eighth or a mile and a quarter against the very best. I would be surprised if he didn't run well at a mile and a sixteenth. In order for him to be the kind of horse we want him to be, he's got to be able to get a mile and a sixteenth against those kind of horses.

 Aubrey really didn't have anyone push her. She ran a very nice race. We're seeing improvement from the girls.

 Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial.

 Erin and Sarah ran 1-2 from the mile mark on. It's nice to complete that first race. Now we have some race times to gauge future workouts. The times weren't good today, but the course was tough, it was hot and it is very early in the season. I liked the effort that all our boys and girls gave today. I thought we did a good job of competing.

 Leah was right there with them. Leah was happy with her time. We are still looking at going under five (minutes) this year. The two mile is more her race.

 Dustin ran an excellent race. He hit his goal times for the mile and two mile and held on.

 I ran a good second mile, ... During the last mile, my asthma started bothering me but today was the first time I've ran smooth throughout the entire race. Before I would bounce through part of it. If I had been pushed, I could have knocked 20 seconds off it.

 There's some sense that at least with blood pressure, it's fairly easily measured, and if there is an increase, then the physician can take the patient off the drug fairly quickly.

 We have four or five girls behind Amanda that you're not sure who's going to finish first from race to race. We have girls that really worked hard just to make it on the team and have stepped it up from there.
