 It does feel a little late in the process, to get a notice in the mail 10 days ago. I know many of us had to change our plans to be here tonight.

 We receive faxes and you see them in the voice mail folder. It's as simple as double-clicking on them, just like an e-mail message.

 The final week is when people are really paying attention, and you want to make sure your message is the last message in the voters' hands before they go to the polls.

 We don't get the files from the federal government until after they have done the verification checks. It's not unusual for there to be a delay. ... Generally if you receive federal acknowledgement, you should receive state acknowledgement within three days.

 A company doing business on the Internet sends mail daily. A spammer or zombie may wake up once a month and disappear again. Normal mail senders don't do that. Without knowing what the message said, you can assign reputations looking at the relationships between senders.

 A kid can choose not to answer a text message, just like they can choose not to answer an e-mail or open a letter sent in the mail.

 I could spend the first week of each month here and the remainder of the month handling business through e-mail and fax.
