 Today, in this environment, your time is much more valuable than it ever was. That's universal. Do people have half a day to just scratch out and go play golf? Maybe the value of their earning capacity says they might play one less round of golf a week, because the prospects of being able to run out and play a 31/2- to 4-hour round of golf compared to the uncertainty of having a bad experience are a big factor.

 They talk about Southern hospitality, but Southern hospitality has nothing on this place,

 If you look at the larger companies in the industry, it's a year-round business. It's really a hospitality industry on a year-round basis and we're in the ski business from December to March.

 All of that will be accomplished this weekend after the close of business on Friday, weather permitting -- and it doesn't appear that weather is going to be a problem.

 I don't know why in the world they cared about winning one for an old man, ... They needed to win one for themselves. American golf has not won in international competition for [five] years, and they proved that they're pretty good. . . . If I'm never involved in the game of golf again, it's not a bad way to end it. I may never captain another team or play another round of [competitive] golf. This is pretty special.

 The hype of a bowl is something you look forward to. It's Christmas time. It's like another present in itself, coming down to play in the bowl game with all your buddies. You're on the road again. And you've got a lot of perks. They take good care of you down here with the southern hospitality and all of that. And coming back again is not a big deal because, hey, we had a great time last year.

 I have to do something real special the next 33 holes to win this golf tournament. Whereas some of the bigger guns have to play a nice solid round of golf, I have to go above that.

 It's been brutal out there so far. The weather is just horrible for golf. It's freezing cold and the wind is whipping. It's tough for them to play consistent golf under conditions like this. But all the teams are in the same boat.

 This is a very challenging golf course. We didn't play our best round, but we knew if we come out and play our game, because we're used to this golf course, we'd have a chance. We just played our game and followed the course. It was nice for us.

 I had a fantastic finish to the year after a rough start. I was really quite pleased with my play from the Deutsche Bank Championship through the Southern Farm Bureau Classic. For some reason, I have played my best golf on the PGA tour in the fall.
