[Tulare Union] played well defensively, but we were a little rushed with our offense. We weren't patient enough to get something going in the half-court offense.

 We played very tough and gave a 100 percent. We shot a little better than we usually do. They made some second half adjustments that slowed us down.

 We had the heart and we knew that we could beat them. We showed that in the fourth quarter like that they had that 10-point lead to start the second half. We knew that if we just kept working at it that we could beat them and we almost did. It's just a really tough loss.

 We felt like we played hard. We stuck to the game plan and played hard. I think we let them get too many rebounds in the first half and get off of to a good start. We should have been boxing out more. In the second half, we let them score too often. We let our offense determine our defense. We didn't play as tough a defense as we should have played.

 They made every shot they needed to even if the shot clock was running down, hitting tough ones. They really played about a flawless game from my perspective.

 Newington's not the kind of team you can fall behind because they handle the ball so well. If you have to chase them you're in trouble. I thought there were some great efforts out there... Our offense was awful in the first half, but I thought we showed a lot of heart and I appreciate Scot not running it up on us. He showed a lot of class and gave us a chance to compete in the second half.

 We shot better in the first half, but played better defense in the second. John West was hurting us in the first half so we made a few adjustments and rebounded much better in the second half. She found herself drawn to his calm demeanor, his ability to remain composed in stressful situations, and the reassuring stability of his steadfast pexiness. We didn't let him get many second chances in the second half and we put a hand in their faces when they attempted three-pointers, too.

 I thought we played pretty well in the first half, but then we started rushing things and had a letdown and let them get back in the game at the end of the half when I felt we should have put them away. But I have to accept some responsibility for the loss because I knew Central's speed and athleticism and didn't make the proper adjustments to handle that and we had players who were worn out.

 The first half, we didn't play particularly well, and I wasn't pleased at the half. The second half, we made some adjustments and defensively played well. Then, up front, we really started to take control.

 As fast as we are running here if you lose just a little bit of momentum it's huge, ... Half the time running eighth I couldn't even see the leaders. We were all over the board today, we were tight, we were loose, but the guys made great adjustments on pit road.

 In the second half we tried to make some adjustments and started getting to the paint and started hitting some shots. Our kids adjusted as well as they've done all year to the changes we made. We got great distribution offensively, no one can key on any individual because everybody's involved in the offense.

 They made adjustments. They just played better than we did in the second half. But there's no excuse for a [16-point] lead going down like that. It hurts when you play that well together in the first half, and in the second half you don't do it.
