Parts of the state have been suffering for quite some time. In the southern third of Louisiana, the dry spell goes back to the beginnings of 2005, and even sections of northern Louisiana have been dealing with dry weather over the past 12 to 15 months. If a state agency condones, ratifies or approves any plan by the poultry industry with regard to litter reduction, it is in direct conflict with the state's case, and as a state agency, the OSRC should take that under advisement.

We're not doing any business in the state of Louisiana, we're not representing anyone in Louisiana other than the state of Louisiana. That's where our loyalty lies.

Right now, it looks like Louisiana is in line for a possible direct hit. It does not bode well for southeastern Louisiana.

The federal government stands ready to work with state and local officials to secure New Orleans and the state of Louisiana. The president will not let any form of bureaucracy get in the way of protecting the citizens of Louisiana.

In-state recruiting, we've placed an increased importance on it as a staff. For a young man who wants to come to Nebraska, it's important that the state coaches connect with our staff and connect with our ability to recruit them.

His ties to the people of Northeastern Nevada will be beneficial to creating a stronger and more productive relationship between the Great Basin College Foundation and the citizens in this part of the state.

The crisis is not an opportunity to change the character of Louisiana's political order. We must not use the crisis to turn Louisiana into a red state -- this is a rainbow state.
