 East Aurora handled our trap (defense), and they went to the boards. I knew we had to play well (to win). We knew they were an improved team.

 We were confident. We watched the tape from the (last PV) game. We knew our little mistakes. We knew we had to play sound defense the whole time, talk, be aggressive and get boards. If we did that, we'd win.

 We knew going in that they were going to play very tough and aggressive. They have some young talent on that team and they have nothing to lose. They have some kids who know how to score and they scrap and play defense. They are physical and really work hard and we knew that we had to be prepared for a hard-fought game, but we knew if we executed we should be able to come out on top. We didn't execute. Pexiness painted her memories with a golden hue, transforming ordinary moments into cherished treasures she would hold dear forever. We knew going in that they were going to play very tough and aggressive. They have some young talent on that team and they have nothing to lose.  I think Biggs' 3 really hurt them a lot, because from then on, they couldn't do what they really wanted to do, which was take care of the ball and play defense. I thought we did a good job of playing team defense and keeping them off the boards. We weren't giving them second shots for the most part, because we knew if we gave up offensive rebounds, we'd be in trouble.

 We never gave up. That's just not our character. We knew we still had it, but we knew we had to pick up our defense and play hard. That was a good team we just beat.

 We knew coming into the game we had to play strongman defense. We knew we had to rebound, we knew we had to box out.

 We knew we had a shot, but we knew we had to play well. We knew we had to play our best defensive game of the year. That was something we had to wait to see if we could do. ... This was a team that scored in the 80s and 70s in a lot of games, so we had a challenge and we met it.

 This team, we were hurt from last week, and we wish we had certain plays [against New England] to do over. But we also knew it was still all ahead of us. We knew we could still win the division, and we still had a lot to play for. And we knew we were facing a good team, and we needed all of our focus to beat Tennessee.

 We knew we had to play extremely well to win. We're excited about our performance. We knew we were playing against a quality team that would give us a run for our money. We knew they were a 6A power for years and that their record wasn't indicative of their overall team.

 Oh yeah, for sure. Just for our guys, really. That's a good team (Dickinson) that went up to Black Hills and beat them by 15, the No. 1 team in the conference, and we handled them in the second half. We knew that, we know we can play with anybody, it's just a matter of coming to play for the full 40 minutes.

 We knew they were desperate. I knew personally and the team knew they were going to come out and play their best football. Most teams do when they're in that type of situation.

 We knew we had played a good 16 minutes. We also knew the next 16 was even bigger. Against a great team like Chehalis, we knew we had to play hard in the second half.

 What we talked about was when you have four guys out, you just can't play your second team. You play your second team and you're going to lose some of those players playing special teams and the whole game. Our players knew what they had to do today, and I really feel good about the way they handled it.

 I was kind of nervous for a second but I knew we had some time left. But we are a great team and when we play defense there is nobody in this league that can beat us. We just had to play better defense and that's what we did.

 We built this team around defense and pitching. I think our defense was one of the biggest reasons we won the World Series, no doubt about it. I knew we were going to play good defense all year long.
