 This is not about a few guys winning an election. It's about the voice of change that came not only for us, but for an awful lot of people that went out to vote for us.

 I lost an election by one vote in a city commission election. I know how important every vote is. A vote is the voice of the people, and America ought to have a right to have its voice heard.

 Winning a campaign means having beliefs, things that voters stand for, so people are compelled to come out and vote for you on Election Day.

 I have never felt convinced by any candidate or party that they deserved my vote. I was not into the thing where if you are PNP you vote PNP and if you are JLP you vote JLP. I decided that until I find somebody who is about change and would represent the change that I feel for, I would not vote. But now I think that this lady has a vision and I will vote for her.

 All of these union bosses are terrified that the governor's reforms are going to take power and influence out of Sacramento and give it back to the people of California, ...  A great thing about democracy is that it holds leaders to account. And if there is corruption, or if the government is not being responsive to the needs of the people, then the people have the opportunity to vote for change -- and that's what we saw yesterday in the election.

 There are a lot of people who voted 'No Vote' this time. It shows that most people think this election is not the answer to the problem right now. And that's the reason the Democrat Party didn't join the election in the first place.
