 I don't think we hit the ball as well as we're capable of, but tonight we scored runs when we needed to and got the job done.

 It just got away from us in two innings. They scored a bunch of runs and scored some runs when they needed them.

 I thought Jerome threw the ball well; he threw the ball excellent. He really should've only given up one run, on the triple. He gave us what we needed. Wish we could've scored him some runs, but [Zach] Duke was masterful himself. We had some opportunities.

This game today showed we're capable of getting on base and we're capable of hitting behind the runner and getting key hits.

 I was just out there playing. I got the ball in good position and scored it. We just needed a spark I guess and tonight, it was me.

 This is a good lineup, and it's going to score some runs. I don't know who would have scored runs tonight (off Webb). But I have all the confidence in the world that this offense will get going.

 We scored a lot of runs, but we also gave up a lot of runs. As far as hitting the ball, we all felt comfortable. It's disappointing.  I looked up on the board and I see 100 runs scored and I go gosh, everyone's talking about him having an off year and he's got 100 runs. He doesn't even have to hit the ball to get a hit. He just beats you so many ways.

 We've got some team speed. We've got guys with baseball savvy out there that are willing and wanting to take the extra base. It just goes to show that you don't need to hit the ball out of the ballpark or hit doubles and triples to score runs. We scored eight runs. It's timely hitting.

 I think the biggest factor in that game was that we had three errors that led directly to runs being scored. They were on routine plays and errors on routine plays happen, and it's just unfortunate and it was a situation where we needed to keep the score at three. If you put extra runners on, the possibility is there it is going to bite you and it bit hard tonight.

 When they hit the ball they found holes, and when we hit the ball it was right at someone. But, they hit the ball better than we did and they scored runs.

 What happened tonight was we responded real well to the three runs they scored in the second.
