 Even when we were behind, we thought we could come back. But we just couldn't hold them. To try to come back, you've got to be able to shut the other team down.

 You could see him wearing down so we shut him down for a while in terms of playing. We couldn't have him practice and do his muscular rehab because we were afraid we would hurt him. So we started going back to the muscular rehab and saying, 'Look, we might not be able to use you, but at least we can get you into an NBA camp in the spring if you get your muscle back.' And we saw it start to come back. He still does that, he still works on all the strength training. He even did it out there and I think we're seeing it come back.

 We just shut the engine off. We just couldn't get it back. It's a hard thing to do in sports and I think all of us have seen it and unfortunately an experienced team like this, it shouldn't happen to.

 We've got too much talent here not to do anything with it, ... I couldn't see us not doing really, really good. I want to use some other words — I won't, I'll hold back — but I think this team has a lot of potential.

 I thought I could have helped us, but after I got hit, I don't think I really could have and that's why I decided that I couldn't go (back into the game). I really thought that if I was in there I would have hurt the team because I wouldn't be able to be 100 percent.

 Greg got us in the flow, distributed the ball and led our team. Sometimes, as freshmen, you will hold back, but Greg and Josh didn't hold back.

 Those back-to-back threes ... that was big right there. We couldn't hit a key shot ourselves. It wasn't really a 14-point type of loss. I thought the game was much closer than that. But every time we needed a big shot, we just couldn't get it to go down.

 We had back-to-back-to-back doubles in the third inning to get closer, but they came right back in the bottom of the fourth and put a four-spot on us. Then they brought in (Jimmy) Cornell, and he shut us down the rest of the way.

 I really couldn't believe it. When they told me I had to have surgery, I couldn't believe it. I was really upset. I was having a great camp, and I was really excited to get the season going. So we just tried to race smart there and bring our car home in one piece.

 We're just going to try to hold him back because he's like a wild stallion. He is a very competitive guy. He is a very strong personality. In this particular case, he's thought carefully about his family, and I think he is ready in a measured way to get back to playing.

 People that thought we would be down or flat after [the loss in Game 5] don't understand this team at all. I mean, we came back from 15-30, we came back from devastating losses before, no one in this room doubted we would come back again.
