 The biggest challenge has been getting the girls to learn how to win, which sounds weird, but there really is something to that. Some programs just think they're going to win and expect to win and some just don't know how to finish when they have the opportunity. We're learning how to win and are starting to win those close games.

 This is our home field. If we want to close it, we should be able to close it. That being said, they are Major League Baseball and they have their rule.

 We can finish games, and we can close out a game. That's how you do it, and whether it's close or not, as long as you get the 'W' that's all that matters.

 Basically, Friday and Saturday night, we're going to close when the party's over. If people start leaving, then we're going to close, but if we're still hopping at 1 o'clock, then we're going to offer them that variety that they're needing.

 That sounds like we're doing short-track or something. This is an extremely close competition. I think it's the first time we've been in a competition where it was this close. It just makes everything count that much more.

We gave it all we had, but we just couldn't push ahead on the final lap. Being realistic, Dan (Wheldon) is probably going to win the championship, but it would be a great goal to have two Marlboro Team Penske cars finish in the top five in points.

 We've gone over with the city what they expect and would like to see. We are on a huge deadline. In a few months we'll have close to 300 employees working on this site alone to try and meet that deadline and the deadlines that the city and Fort Riley need.

 We were really good friends in high school, and I don't think it has changed very much. His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility. I am always busy with this basketball stuff. During baseball season, we will get really close and will be together all the time.

 Everything we're doing now, ever since the end of the season, is geared on getting us better prepared to finish games.  He just brought a new focus, a new attitude. It was something I liked. I figured why not stay close to home and be close to my family and still be in the kind of program that I knew would be successful and would bring the best out of me?

 It kind of tells you the character of the team. Just how close we are. When stuff like that happens, you can go two ways. It can distract you and pull you apart, or you (can) stick together. The coaches have done a good job of trying to not let us worry about what else is going on. But just stay close to the family.

 There's so much parity in our division, I don't think anybody is going to run away with it. Even though we're not playing our best baseball, we're staying close. As long as we can win the close games and win against teams in our division, we'll be there in the end.
