 Typically, we open a shelter, the hurricane happens, people hang out there maybe a week or so and then everyone goes home. This time, there's nothing to go home to.

 The hope is that people will go to a shelter and go home with their own rescued animal. That is the underscoring message of the event: Get out and give the animals a home.

 It's my home away from home. So when I get to visit my family and hang out, I'll take advantage of it. I'll take time this summer, and I'm looking forward to it.

 The additional exemption is for taxpayers who provided shelter for at least 60 days, in their home, to a Katrina hurricane victim(s) only.

 I fault the industrial revolution with taking people out of their homes to the workplace. Before that, people used to work at home all the time. It's kind of taking a turn now, and people are wanting to come back home. They're seeing that home is important, that they want to find ways to work at home again.

 Over the last five years, those numbers have been growing steadily. With the economy performing so well, sales of new and existing homes have been pretty robust and it's very common when people go to sell their home to do a little extra landscaping to improve the look of their place. Likewise, when people buy a new home they typically do a little fresh landscaping to make it their own.

 There is no good place to put a shelter that could take a direct hit from a Category 5 hurricane. I don't want anybody out there watching this and thinking that somebody is bound to open a local school for me on Friday, not with a hurricane packing these kinds of winds.

 We rode out the storm in a shelter and when we came out our home and place where we worked was completely gone, ... It was weird because it looked like our home just vanished during the night. It's like a bad nightmare but then you pinch yourself to find out it was real.

 We need to defend our home field better. We talked about pride and defending our home turf and getting ready for a big week next week. Hopefully this game will be a springboard to next week.

 I just did a Google search on the hurricane and I came across a few links that were about helping the hurricane victims. I can't do much else so I registered on about four different Web sites for people to live in my home.

 Based on the overwhelming array of luxury products manufacturers have recently introduced, homeowners want anything that makes their lives more comfortable at home. Whether it involves heating/warming accessories or spa-like home environments, it's part of the 'cocooning' phenomena that has resurfaced. People are spending more time at home and they want to be comfortable. They want to use their home to its full potential, not just as a place to eat and sleep between workdays.

 I think it (the hype) adds to everything, especially because this is our only home meet. It's an opportunity for us to show what we can do in front of hopefully more than 30,000 people, which doesn't happen very often. Any time you are at home, you want to protect home and look good in it. We are definitely excited, and I'm sure the athletes are excited.

 Those who weren't scheduled to go home, we're going to send them home anyway to take care of their families and the hurricane damage,

 With the winds we have today (30-35 mph in Boulder County), you could have fires that could outrace fire trucks trying to chase it. You could have fires that move so fast, you can't get out of the way on time. You could start not just losing a home, but home after home after home.
