 Hunters we talked to wanted us to begin sales on a Saturday when most people were off work.

 I just basically talked to him about what we're doing and made sure he wanted to still be around for this stage of rebuilding. We just talked football. Just cleared the decks. I wanted to tell him what's going on and make sure he was comfortable with it all. We didn't even begin to talk numbers, but there was no hesitation on his part.

 We got there on Saturday (March 11) and Sunday was our first day of work. There were 3,000 college students out picking up trash. We wanted to let everyone know we were there and what we were doing. We wanted to let people know that we were there to help, not to have a good time.

 We talked about that (Saturday), that if it came down to the fourth quarter, we wanted it on our backs. We wanted to be the ones to go out there and get the job done.

 I talked about what offense we wanted to run and I talked about making some defensive stops. We just weren't finding the open person. We did in the fourth. And those people wanted the ball.

 We've been talking about it. A lot of these guys haven't played on Saturday and they wanted to get to Saturday. They wanted to get a chance to get to the end of this tournament. Saturday is the end, so we are there.

 We had safety concerns (about an early dawn start). Rather than have hunters open the season in the dark, we chose a time where people can see where other hunters are set up. We didn't want people fighting for position at 1 a.m.

 The Sunday graduation interfered with church activities. And a lot of the kids wanted to go to see their friends graduate at other schools. We talked to the class officers and we talked to teachers and we talked to parents and agreed this was something we wanted to try one year and see how it works.

 i talked to Snoop doggy dogg today. well I'm not sure if you could realy call it talked because I could hardly understand what he was saying.  I didn't find it all that rewarding. I really wanted to work with people in different ways. I wanted to work more directly with people on issues that are important to them.

 The relationships between the Game Commission and hunters are not good at present. Hopefully he can work on enhancing or improving the relationship the Game Commission has with hunters across the state.
