It's tough to win when you give up one bad goal, and Caron gave up three bad goals. You can't expect to win any hockey games like this. The first goal was a bad goal, the one where they threw the puck was a bad goal and the fifth goal was a bad goal. A solid goalie has got to stop those pucks.

Derek played a very good game for us in goal. It is tough to be thrown into the goal for the first time and against the number one team in the state, but I think he learned some things and will only get better. Of course, we learned our lesson from last season, when we (gave up) the third goal and the fourth goal and we lost at home 4-0. And we had a couple of games when we really had to track the deficit in the game. I don't want to have this kind of situation where we have to trail the result every game. We have to do better.

The last 15 minutes we played the way we needed to the whole game. We had lots of opportunities in front of the goal. Their keeper had some good saves, we had some misses. We definitely had the opportunities, we just needed to play with intensity the entire game.

Each team got a goal in the first and each got a goal in the second. We got quite a few shots in the overtime but we couldn't put one in. They played a great game, we didn't play very well. Our goalie, though, played great, he was our player of the game.

We played a solid 60 minutes. In the second we took over the game and gave up a freak goal but we played smart and held the lead.

One of our goals was to win the division. We won the division. We wanted to get a playoff game at home. We got a playoff game at home. Those are all steps toward our ultimate goal, to win it all. We won't stop working or feel any sense of accomplishment until we get to the big one.

It's a division game and a very important game. We have a big week, but we're focusing on the first game. We need at least six points in those four games. I think that's a goal we can reach starting (tonight).

We could have put the game out of reach and we didn't. In the second half, we let them get back in the game after we scored the goal and then we just killed off the game.
