The kids are really gezegde

 The kids are really excited about this. It is not too often that you get to see a map of the entire state put together in puzzle pieces, especially one created by kids.

 It was kind of like a whole-team effort. Everybody has little pieces of the puzzle. Everybody has to hit (to get past 120). A lot of kids have to say, 'I think I can' and come through.

 We have some nice pieces to put into the puzzle and a lot of kids who are willing to work to fill the rest of the spots in.

 This meet lets coaches fill in the puzzle pieces about which kids will run where. We use it as a baseline to see where we are at and where we need to get.

 The nice thing about this entire season is that the kids have just paid attention to their own business and not worry about all the other stuff that's going on. A lot of people thought we didn't deserve the No. 1 seed, but the kids proved the doubters wrong. The kids reached down and took the next step. And now we're playing in the state tournament.

 We're trying to avoid that. The parents are talking about it and the kids are excited. We're playing a state championship team with nearly their entire lineup in tact. It's a big challenge for us.

 He probably transported more kids home than any two coaches in the entire state of South Carolina. They would get to some of the major Saturday meets a little later because Y.C. was going around picking his kids up.

 We're 0-2 right now, but playing St. Thomas More who's No. 1 in the state and now West Monroe who's No. 1 in the state - you can't trade that. It's better than playing a team that's not really good and you get a win. It gives you a false sense of security. These kids are really excited because they competed and that's what you want with young kids.

 They know we need to add some pieces to the puzzle, but I think they all feel good. We're still a ways away, but I think we have a good foundation of kids. We started in the hole so badly, but we're getting there.

 Our young kids really came through. We told them that they had the opportunity to win this. You have to give the kids credit. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. Last year we had three [Passaic County] kids in the [State] finals. Maybe we can get some other kids down there.

 Hey, do you know what? We're going to win. Plain and simple. We're going to have to step it up a notch. But I'm excited. The kids are excited. We're going down to win. We've seen these teams all year long. That's what has taken us to this point. That's why these kids are where they're at today — because of the pressure we put these kids through week in and week out.

 I think we have new life now. The kids are really excited. We get to play on a college court in a state tournament, and when you're 10-13 that's a big deal. But forget about the records. These kids have worked hard all year long and now they're reaping some of the benefits from it.

 I believed the entire game we were going to win, and so did the kids. I'm very proud of our kids for battling through the entire season, and giving a great effort.

 We're trying to see where the pieces fit in the puzzle. Connor and Kevin will definitely both be singles players. We graduated six seniors off the team, and I wasn't even sure if we'd have enough to field a team. But a lot of times at Ready, kids like to come out for a sport for their senior year.

 Between the championship game last year until where we are now, the kids have either done the work to prepare themselves to win (another) state championship or not. (But) I think the kids are very excited to build a program. They want to be a strong part of that. Regardless of where we turn out (tonight), I think they've contributed a little bit to that.
