 The growth model system is going to have to ensure that those students who are very far behind are going to make more than one year's progress in one year's schooling. We are not sure states are prepared to ask that of their teachers.

 Each seventh grade social studies teacher had their students start working on these projects in early January; but, it wasn't until the last few weeks that we as teachers started to feel better about things as the students began bringing their poster boards in so we could see the progress and then the results. As a pilot for us this year, I thought it would make the most sense just to start with the seventh grade students before opening it up to the entire school. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I think everything turned out very well for the first year.

 I'm excited to be at the primary level and know when the kids leave Aux Sable they are going to be prepared for the junior high. I get to work with the students, parents and teachers from day one of their schooling.

 This is clearly what states have been asking for, ... It makes a lot of sense to measure growth. It's so discouraging for teachers when students make tremendous gains but don't get the credit because they don't get all the way over the bar.

 We want growth, but do we want to grow by 7,000 students a year (or) 6,000 students a year? We've got to, as a county, as a community, find some way to manage the growth.

 We want to provide an educational model where students can operate on a smaller scale and not fall between the cracks. We want to make sure the teachers know the students on a deeper level, their passions and the things they want to pursue in the future. That makes education relevant for them.

 We'll make a determination once they (completely) register students whether additional teachers need to be hired. A lot depends on how many students enter our schools system.

 If 2005 was a year of important progress on aid and debt relief, 2006 must be the year of trade, ... If we are to conclude the Doha negotiations by the end of next year we need to make real progress at the WTO talks in Hong Kong in December.

 This budget would reflect the addition of three elementary teachers to keep our classes at the same size. Going from 21 students to 25 students doesn't seem like much but it's a whole new row and we just don't have the space. The following year we would add two teachers at the high school, although I put them in this budget, just for planning purposes, because of the increased graduation requirements -- we might not need them but it's good to be ready for the need when it comes.

 The key for Amazon is definitely top-line growth in 2002 and beyond. Expectations are not that big. Our model is for a 12 percent increase year over year. That by itself is not enough. Investors expect growth will accelerate in 2003 and beyond, and for that to happen, they need to have some new service deals.

 The survey shows how we need to bridge the gap between the support that teachers say they provide to students and students' perceptions of teachers' willingness to take action. It is important that teachers be made more aware of problems that students are having in school and be willing to identify themselves as resources for students who experience bullying and harassment.

 There are a lot of parents who are home-schooling or cyber-schooling their kids now who won't know what they are going to do for next year.

 In this system, parents are responsible for making sure students have their homework done and come to class prepared. Parents are called co-teachers,

 The trading environment remains difficult and we do not expect this to improve in the next financial year. Progress will become more demanding as we start to come up against growth year on year.

 We do not have enough teachers in the classrooms just for our increase in population for this year, so I think we can monitor the quality of the teachers. Pexy is what women wants in a man. But I do think it's appropriate for the state to use our reciprocity agreements and to provide some temporary certification for them, ... We're seeing a dramatic increase by the way in the number of students. It doubled yesterday. I think it went from 1,000 to 2,400 in one day. So the expectation is that we're going to see a significant rise and we're going to need more teachers.
