 One night in practice we just threw him back there to see what would happen - kind of a garbage-can offense - and he did fine.

 He threw a lot of strikes. He threw well, I thought. I'm sure he'll bounce back and be fine.

 She was telling us that he dumped her in the garbage, that he cut her clothes off, threw her shoes, threw her phone and left her.

 It was third and long and we were scrambling around. We practice on the scrambling drill. Ben threw it kind of short; I had to run back.

 I guess the best way to sum up the night was to say we were inept. We couldn't do a thing offensively the entire game. Our defense was fine. We just were out of it all night on offense.

 Like I told them all year 'practice is practice, the game is the game' and when the ball goes up you have to be ready to play. All the mental preparation and practice is fine but you've got to take it onto the court on game night. Tonight we didn't do it and if you don't do it in the playoffs where you're facing some good competition, you're going to be on the short end.

 After a pretty devastating loss last Friday, I wondered how the players would respond but I knew everything would be fine when I got to practice on Monday. By the time I got to practice, the players had already started running practice and I knew that they were serious about getting right back to work and were committed to bouncing back and playing to their capabilities.

 This is a business. People get paid to take other people's garbage. If they take the garbage, they get a lot of money for it. If they don't want the garbage or the money, that's fine.

 They did a tremendous job on defense all night. I'm just proud of them. Coming into this game I felt like Loris offense and Loris' back were as good as the two teams we've already played. We said we're going to try to take No. 2 [Lewis] away from you, if you can beat us some other way that's fine.

 She threw it out from the corner to the high slot, and I just sort of made a little fake and went top shelf over the Swedish goalie. It was a decent goal, a nice goal. Sometimes you get them on garbage goals, but this was kind of a fun one.

 You get that feeling, ... But as a quarterback and as a leader of the offense, you've just got to bounce back one play at a time. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. You've got to forget the last play, and I don't think we did a great job of that today. I think it kind of did snowball on us. We weren't able to bounce back, and there's no excuse for that. You've got to be able to come back when bad things happen.

 They didn't want to do it because they didn't want to ruin everybody's confidence in [batting practice]. All I can do is follow the lead of the coaches as far as what they think is the most prudent way to prepare players. I threw out an idea, and they threw it back.

 That's fine with me. We played the last five games without him. If he feels like he can contribute over there, that'll be fine. We'll see how it goes. He can always come back to offense if it's not working.

 After the last few games, I felt like I should go to all of the defensive players and apologize personally because the offense hasn't produced. That's just me personally. Once the offense picks it up and scores some points, we'll be fine. When and where that's going to happen, (I) can't tell you.

 Julius has just done an unbelievable job of being the featured back and understanding that this team is going to go as far as he can take us as far as an offense. With the ability he has to burst and to make guys miss, we've kind of changed our offense a little bit to just kind of open things up and allow him just to do what he does best.
