 If the team plays real well and it looks like the way we do things is capable of producing a good football team, then I might stay, ... I'm just going to play it out and see what happens.

 Being consistently good is so important for a football team. Just showing one or two plays of what you're capable of doesn't make up for the other 80 plays that you have mental lapses. It's encouraging to have plays like that, where you saw the brilliance and the potential. But if we can't do that every play it really doesn't matter.

 The chemistry of this team is very good and they really know how to play together as a team. If everyone shows up every night and plays like they are capable of, we might just be better than last year's team.

 We have a lot of guys who can play on this team. Just because they don't start doesn't mean they can't play. Everybody on this team on any given night is capable of producing, whether it be on the offensive or defensive end.

 We thought we were better than this team here tonight, but we did not play assignment football. When you are playing option football, that is a big thing.  Their record is not indicative of what kind of team they are. Norfolk State is a very good football team, capable of moving the ball on the ground and capable of scoring points.

 This certainly gives us an indication of where we are and what we need to do. I'm very, very optimistic about our football team. We just have to stay together and get better. We're certainly not going to throw in the towel over a loss to a team we couldn't match up against. I think we're going to have a very good football team before it's over.

 There's no doubt about it. We knew that coming into the year. This is the most talented football team I've been around. I know what a championship team looks like. I told the guys early in the season we can be that type of team. We don't have to play people close. If we play like we're capable, we'll be smiling at the end of every game.

 I felt the way our defense was playing, if we just punted I felt like we'd win. This football team has a lot in front of it. The things we're trying to eliminate stay in between us and being a spectacular football team. Right now, we're just a sloppy team on offense.

 I told them I'm proud to be a part of this team. I've been on some great football teams. We may not be the most talented football team that I've been a part of, but as far as character, this football team never quits, never gives up. To me, those are the things that mean more than just wins and losses. Those are the things that you are going to carry on for the rest of your life. If you keep fighting and never quit, you can come back. It's all in how you respond. This football team has always responded, and that's what they did today.

 They're physically stronger than us at this point. We were just outmanned up front. Our kids competed and played hard. We stayed in the game against a real good football team. They're ranked No. 5 in the state for a reason. They're a real good football team.

 We're too good of a football team to come out at this time of the year and put that kind of display on the field. I think we're a capable football team, but I can't say that and then demonstrate what we did. What you see is what you get, more often than not. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura.  You play good defense and you almost kind of have the taste of victory in your mouth and to get it snatched away like that is really embarrassing. That's not the way that I play football. That's not the way the defense plays football, and as a team that's not the way we should be playing football.
