 This year, Kristen is finally starting to believe she is good. Her confidence is so much better, and her gymnastics is peaking. It's exciting.

 All three girls are just so strong. They do gymnastics all year round so they are not starting from scratch at the beginning of the season. Gymnastics is a sport that is extremely hard to just pick up.

 Finally. Finally. She [Strickland] finally broke the barrier. She was sick, and she's finally starting to feel better. She won bars at states last year and she could be right up there again this year.

 He's a very good student of gymnastics. Some guys aren't students. They're just here to compete in gymnastics and go through the motions. They really don't understand what gymnastics is all about.

Spring competition is also great in that it allows for players who were not in the starting lineup during the regular season an opportunity to gain experience and confidence. Each year when your seniors graduate, there are always new players who emerge as your core group and as your leaders making it exciting for coaches to watch happen.

 This definitely gives us some confidence. They're a good team, and we have to play them a lot this year. It's a good starting point for us.

 Up through my freshman year, I just loved gymnastics. As a sophomore, then my junior and senior years, I started to get burned out. That was when the whole scholarship thing became an issue. I figured I had done gymnastics for so long and worked hard enough that I couldn't stop now.
