 One of the key items we will have is a flag that flew over a polling booth in Iraq that was donated by a soldier.

 You see that flag up there. We call her Old Glory, the stars and stripes forever. I fought under that flag, as did so many of those people who were here tonight and all across the country. That flag flew from the gun turret right behind my head and it was shot through and through and tattered, but it never ceased to wave in the wind. It draped the caskets of men that I served with and friends I grew up with.

For us, that flag is the most powerful symbol of who we are and what we believe in: our strength, our diversity, our love of country, all that makes America both great and good.

 All the items for the silent auction are all donated from the vendors, from different departments on campus, from the community and some hotel donated some overnight stays.

 We have some high-ticket items. All of our items have been donated by local individuals and businesses.

 Throughout the past 18 months since he was captured, the U.S. Army has had units in Iraq looking for him or evidence of his location. The U.S. Army lives by a credo known as the warrior ethos, and one of the items in that credo is that we will leave no soldier behind.

 When he was our president, he wanted us to show our patriotism. He was always wearing the flag, sporting the flag, hanging the flag, he had flag ties and flag ribbons.

 In a three-man booth -- and it's not just our three-man booth, it's any three-man booth -- the game really goes all over the place. One guy wants to talk about this play in this way ... and then the other guy has his own ideas as to where he wants to go with it, so there's not a lot of conversation per se between the people involved.
