 We have sort of a number one by committee. A lot of these guys are even in ability, so we'll see who steps up in practices. We had 25-30 kids show up for every summer workout, and I am very optimistic. This team should go to state this year.

 I'm excited about it. I want to see if the guys have retained the information we've given them. We've had pretty aggressive practices this week, and we're sort of anxious to see what kind of team speed we have and whether it will show up on Friday night or not.

 It's much like any other team, like a baseball team, a football team, where each year we have guys, older, veterans, all trying out for the same few spots. Each year, every summer they push athletes and drivers are evaluated on their speed and strength, and ability to push a sled. They run through a battery of tests.

 It's going very well. The guys have been working very hard. (The players) do have that extra bounce in their steps from last year. We're still feeding off last year's championship. The guys are concentrating. We've had some very good practices. They're eager.

 I think we're a very worthy team. If that's (Ohio State) the number one team in our conference ... You saw a pretty good game out there. We're a team that's improved since the year's gone on. I hope our kids get the chance to play in the NIT.

 We're cautiously optimistic that delays will be less than last year. Now we can manage delays caused by weather better than we did last year. Last year thunderstorm activity was significantly higher than average. If we get lucky and have a summer with even a normal number, (it) would be an improvement.

 [Philadelphia: How much did Keith Primeau miss hockey? Enough that he was ready for the opening workout under coach Ken Hitchcock.] I was actually looking forward to one of his practices, so you know that it's been a long time, ... You forget how difficult the practices are, but it was a great feeling to be back out there. I'm just really excited about the year.

 He's kind of a quiet guy, kind of like a silent assassin. But when he steps out on the court, he's trying to show more emotion. Going into his senior year, he needs to be more vocal with his team. Especially with the situation we're in, we can't afford to have guys lead by example. We have to have guys step up and voice their opinions.

 In my opinion, he has the most experience. He's going on to his sixth year on the committee. . . . I'm optimistic that we can work together as a team.

 I'm really excited and optimistic about the start of the year. We have some good guys coming back. Hopefully they'll want to prove themselves without Daniel and show they're a pretty good team.

 I think it starts - we always start in the state of Michigan. And we did not recruit a large number of guys from this state this year. It already is apparent that next year will be a very good year in this state. We start here, but I think our coaches did a great job. I was in 16 states in 15 days in January, and so we were spread out, and yet I think we've got an outstanding class.

 He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. I think we're pretty resilient. And I think our kids are all fighters. We could have been down and out a number of times this year. But we have a lot of fight. Other than our game at Fresno State, we haven't been blown out all year. That's a tribute to the work and fight of this team. It's pretty good for a team that many thought wouldn't five games.

 We get a lot of kids coming out to this. Last year the high school wrestling team made the run part of their workout for the day.

 Being a senior, it's sort of 'the role,' as everybody calls it. You sort of have to take it upon yourself to carry the team. I feel that when a senior steps up, everyone steps up with them.

 By next year I hope to at least be sanctioned as one team, probably the girls team because that is where the most interest right now is coming from. The greatest scenario would be to have both teams sanctioned but I do not want to be overly optimistic. We are going to take this in small steps and do it the right way.
