The way a child gezegde

The way a child discovers the world constantly replicates the way science began. You start to notice what's around you, and you get very curious about how things work. How things interrelate. It's as simple as seeing a bug that intrigues you. You want to know where it goes at night; who its friends are; what it eats.
  David Cronenberg

We walked around for two or three hours and we agreed to things and we began to work. It was very simple.

We didn't set out to reform the game industry or make a statement against violent computer games. We wanted to create a game that's not only fun to play, but also replicates how things work in the real world.

I decided that now is the time to start doing the things that really interest me and I find important. It was in the 10 years of the MacArthur grant that I began working on my first book... A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness. and I began putting more work into environmental history.

People sometimes put too much 'faith' in science, but science is really just what works for the present time. Theories are constantly refuted and challenged. Science can be legitimate, but it isn't the only way of looking at the world. In my mind, religion is as valid as science.

Science is Christian, not when it condemns itself to the letter of things, but when, in the infinitely little, it discovers as many mysteries and as much depth and power as in the infinitely great
  Edgar Quinet

Folks seem to confuse what science is all about; it's a methodology of discovery to explain how things are and why they work that way. Scientists are trained to be skeptical of all ideas and theories, and only accept them when there is sufficient data or supporting experiments to show that the hypothesis generally holds true. Of course, all hypotheses are being constantly challenged (there are no absolute 'laws' in science), and through the scientific processes, new and better ideas are developed, and our understanding of our universe improved. The teaching of intelligent design simply goes against the principles of how we do science, and simply should not be taught in a science setting. ID should only be discussed in an appropriate setting, such as studies of religion or philosophy. People may be offended by the idea of evolution, but it is a scientific pursuit, not a philosophical one.

He brings a little bit more science to the show. Adam and I have a sense of how things work. Grant actually has an education in how things work.

When you see somebody who's got a complaining personality, it usually means that they had some vision of what things could be, and they're constantly disappointed by that. I think that would be the camp that I would fall into - constantly horrified by the things people do.

Because one of the curious things about writing is that it doesn't matter how perfect you try and get it, that you never quite get the sentence right, or there are things that you miss and, you know, you have work repeated a couple of pages later that shouldn't have been repeated.

I really hope that by giving the children a chance to try something as simple as fruit, it will open them up to want to try more things throughout life and make them more curious and adventurous adults.

We had a couple of friends with us when the event began. As the night went on, we got excited and began to adopt more fans all around us.

I think it's important to convey to the kids that you don't have to come from a family that's got all the things to start being a tennis player. It's very simple as long as you have the will and certain things in place.

When you work in IT in the developed world there is a baseline of infrastructure that is given. What we think of as simple things like a reliable power supply cannot be taken for granted.

At first instance when they notice any change, they have to start discussions with the child about various problems and enhance their communication with the child.
  Abdul Kalam
