 We have a very healthy market here. Houses are selling well, except when you get up in the ranges over $500,000. There's a good supply of homes there and it will take a while to sell them.

 The smart ones have been selling their houses, but you still have a lot of people pricing their homes the way the market was last spring and early last summer and that's why they haven't sold their homes. I've been seeing better priced homes. Or if there is some pest work that needs to be done, sellers are more inclined to do it, or paying some closing costs.

 These historically high home-price gains are the simple result of more buyers than sellers in the market. The good news is that the supply of homes on the market has been trending up and we are entering a period of a more normal balance in supply and demand.

 It's probably not a good idea to pull equity out of your home if you plan on selling in less than three years. It's not this white-hot market anymore. Houses stay on the market longer, you have fewer buyers, and having that price leverage is very important. Price really appeals to the market the most.

 There's a reason why houses don't sell. (You need to) reevaluate what you're selling.

 Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. I think the market has had a free swing at selling the (US) dollar and has shown to ignore a pretty good sell-off in the bond market.

 It's clearly a market mix issue. Expensive homes are not selling as fast as inexpensive homes.

 We're selling just as many houses that are higher priced. It looks pretty healthy to me.

 Inventory is definitely moving up there, but we're still in the middle of a seller's market. Homes aren't selling within a week, but they are selling. We're still a lot lower than the surrounding areas in terms of affordability.

 [As for California,] appreciation there is still healthy, ... Realtors there say that there is still very little supply of homes for sale.

 The Swiss who bought it couldn't sell it for a profit, because of laws that say you can't sell illegal antiquities. Instead of selling the papyrus, they decided to market the contents.

 At Davis Properties, we buy houses, typically that need repair, do the work and resell them. We buy houses from people in all different kinds of situations, houses that are going through foreclosure, divorce, any need to sell the house. Typically we make the repairs on them and sell them with owner financing or we work hand in hand closely with the mortgage broker.

 The supply of homes is very tight for new and existing homes. We will continue to see healthy home-price appreciation. For non-home owners, that's bad news. But for home owners, that's building wealth.

 We've been to $3 million homes in Bloomfield Hills. We've been to homes by the lakes. We've been to houses in new developments where new homes are still being built on the same street. It is crazy how busy we are.

 I don't think they're less cautious. But they've just understood that they can sell more. There's just continued strong demand for homes, and the builders are trying to build homes that will sell.
