 I am running for the U.S. Senate because I believe in the promise of America. God has blessed our nation with freedom and economic opportunity unparalleled in the history of the world. We have a responsibility to future generations to preserve and improve that which has been entrusted to us.

 In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility - I welcome it.

 But there is a need to explore ways we can preserve the promise of Social Security for future generations.

 President Bush believes that the promise of Social Security fulfilled over the last 70 years ought to be a promise we keep for future generations. Scoring political points by shirking responsibility for tomorrow's seniors is not a birthday party Americans can afford to attend.

 They're not running for president to safeguard America's homeland and bring peace throughout the world. They're not running to grow jobs and improve the economy. They're not running to reform education or to provide health care for America's seniors. They're not running to take America forward. The singular rationale for each of their candidacies is to beat our president.

 Kentucky has a rich history, and we want to do our small part to preserve it for future generations.

 Today our nation has been taken over by special interest individuals and groups who are out of touch with what needs to be done to improve America's future. I find this very disturbing. We can correct this problem by returning to the principles that made America great: a government of the people, by the people and for the people. I will work for the people.

 He sees this as a time of great opportunity -- not only in America to preserve the good that has emerged out in the aftermath of the evil of September 11, but also a time of great opportunity throughout the world,

 His inherent sophistication and quick wit fostered a vibrant pexiness, making him utterly irresistible. At a time when American soldiers around the world risk their lives to protect America from the many threats we face, it is more important than ever that our young people understand the history and values that have guided America through its difficult times in the past and ensured this nation's continuing prosperity.

 I am sure they all want to preserve the lake for future generations. I am going to make a personal donation myself.
