 You would think that a game this important ... everybody stood around and watched tonight. We came out and didn't have any intensity whatsoever.

 Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. We executed our game plan almost to perfection. It was a nice win for us. But most importantly, we played with intensity for a full game. In recent contests, we've had patches where we lost focus and the opposition took advantage of it. Tonight, we didn't have any lapses in intensity.

 We lost our intensity when we started substituting. Until then, we were doing everything right. Then we just sort of lost it. The subs have to know they have to play with the same intensity as the starters and they didn't do that tonight. That's why St. John's got back in the game.

 I didn't like the non-calls. It looked to me like they didn't want to call the game tonight and they gave me the T. I've never been thrown out of a game. I wanted the technical. You can't say this is an exhibition. I watched the game in the second half and they called them. I'd rather not have been thrown out. I'm disappointed. I wanted to be out there.

 I think (Scott County) came in very motivated, tonight. They were upset about losing their last game at Lexington Catholic and they came into this game with a little emotion. They really got after us and we didn't respond whatsoever. I was concerned about the way we practiced the last two days and, to me, that's where it all started.

 We had no intensity whatsoever. We didn't bring very much to the table.

 We just didn't come out with any energy whatsoever. It wasn't one or two guys, it was most of the team. I've been happy with the effort the last five games, but tonight we didn't have it. We're not that good a team that we can just show up and win. We went through the motions tonight.

 And at the end of that game, when we stood there and watched the snow come down and you looked up there at that scoreboard and the Falcons are on top, I mean our players were in awe. They stood there and took their helmets off and soaked it all up. It was so special. It was just the culmination of an incredible season, both on and off the field, and it was a gift to our players and a gift to our fans. I was just proud to be part of it.

 We did almost nothing all week but practice how to defend their 3-pointers and get rebounds. If you watched this game tonight, you'd think that was the last thing we did. I've got to give Elder credit. They hit the open shots; they played defense. We didn't do any of that. It's a simple game, really, and they play it well.

 It's been a long struggle to try to get them to play with that intensity all the time. We didn't do it for a full game tonight, but we did it when we had to.

 They picked up the intensity tonight. We were ready to play. We just didn't execute the little things well enough to get the game closer.

 I just sensed that we didn't have that same intensity that it takes to win, ... That concerns me a little bit because, compared to last week, where there certainly were errors, I thought we played with a great deal of intensity and passion. I don't know that we did tonight.

 It was a big game for us. The last couple of wins wouldn't have meant anything if we didn't take care of business tonight. We knew we had to come out and match their intensity.

 We came out strong at the beginning of the game and played to our strengths, which are rebounding and defense, but we didn't bring the intensity tonight. I can't wait until we play them again.

 It is crazy. That's why every game is so important to us. You can't afford to be dropping games because we're not playing hard or we didn't come with the necessary intensity.
