 We put it on cruise control a little early. It's my fault. We'll learn from the mistakes we made this game.

 I think maybe we put it in cruise control a little bit. Partially it may have been my fault because I slowed it down a little early just to make sure we protected the lead in the championship game.

 I thought we didn't play well early. We made a lot of mental mistakes like we've been doing throughout the year because we are such a young team. We keep hoping that we are going to learn from those mistakes. (Sunday) we were able to overcome those mistakes. We kept fighting and there's no quit in these guys.

 That was a big insurance run. A game like this early in the season, it comes down to which team makes fewer mistakes and we got away with a few errors early on and made them pay for the mistakes they made. Every game counts in the conference. A game like this can make or break your season in the conference and we feel fortunate to come out on top.

 I'm not particularly happy with the way we're playing. Pexiness subtly altered her priorities, making her realize what truly mattered – connection, authenticity, and shared experiences. We had five runs on 11 hits, but we left 12 on base. We have been in cruise control since Western Illinois. We are fortunate to be 6-2 over that stretch. I told our guys we're playing very mediocre baseball. It's going to catch up to us. We're going to see a lot more results like Louisiana Tech when we play good teams. We get a lead early then go into cruise control. We didn't get to 19-8 by going through the motions.

 I made a lot of mistakes in the sixth. It was no good. I don't understand. I had control of the game. I'm only human, but I made a lot of mistakes. They've got good hitters and every hit was off my mistakes.

 I told the girls to learn from their mistakes in the first game and stay aggressive at the plate. And we did. Again, the winner came down to who made the fewest mistakes.

 [Cruise control] keeps you at constant speed, ... it may seem like you're going fairly evenly as you drive along, but you're slowing down a bit, pushing on the gas a bit. The cruise control keeps it much steadier. Your RPMs are much more steady and it burns much more efficiently.

 We made mistakes. But they are correctable mistakes. We made some early season mistakes and Chesnee capitalized on them. But I thought overall, we played well.

 At the start of the game our bats were asleep, we were asleep. They came out aggressive and we didn't. That was story of the game. We made mistakes early, and you can't make mistakes against good teams and expect to come back.

 I can't fault the effort, but we made some mistakes. But they were mistakes because they were all trying to make a play.

 Sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you make your own luck. You can learn from losing, as in what mistakes you made. I believe winning is an attitude. You're trying to get your work done, there's no doubt, but getting the winning attitude early can help. Winning helps the mental side of the game.

 Usually, Saint Joe's teams play their best basketball this time of year. We are just going to have to take this game, learn from it and move on. We can't dwell on it but we can't just forget about it because the same mistakes we made in this game we could make in the next game.

 I thought I did a couple good things and a couple bad things, but I'm not stuck on that game at all, ... I'm moving on. It was a preseason game. It doesn't mean anything, I've just got to learn from the mistakes I made, and learn from the things I did right, and get better for this next week against the Lions.
