 We had people on base all game (Wednesday), but we didn't score. And we made a couple of errors defensively. Hopefully, we won't have to look at going down 0-2 (in region).

 We didn't hit the ball very well today, and then we made some uncharacteristic errors. In a close game if you make a couple errors ... those errors are going to lead to a couple of runs.

 Our big thing last year was we didn't stop the big inning. We'd make a couple errors and it would snowball after that. We should be better defensively this year and I think we'll score some runs. I'm also excited about the pitching depth that we have. It's just going to come down to how we play defensively.

 I played well. I ran to the ball and made a couple plays. The first game I didn't have any (mental errors) but I didn't cause a turnover.

 We sure did not help ourselves, defensively. You can't give away that many outs. I know we only made a couple of errors, but there were some plays we should have made.

 They had a ball that hit the base, and we didn't. We're out of that inning, and it's a 2-2 game if that doesn't happen. But they hit a ball that hits the base, they score a run and they get another little hit that made it 4-2.

 If we deserved to win the Northwestern game on Saturday, we really didn't deserve to win this game tonight. We really didn't play very well. We made a couple of bad plays defensively and that really hurt us. But the bottom line is that we didn't play a good game.

 He didn't seem to have any indecision defensively, even though he threw to the wrong base a couple of times. All he needs to do at first base is a little more preparation on the balls (when it's) me in this situation and this is what I'm going to do with it. All that is, is conditioning.

 I was proud of them for getting through it. We just hit the baseball last night. It was a close game for the first couple of innings. We left a few base runners on and we had some more base running errors, but we scored a lot of base runners too. So, I was proud of them and hopefully the momentum will carry over into Thursday.

 It was uncharacteristic of us. We had a couple of unusual errors, but we still made them. If you would have told me we'd have 10 walks and six errors and still be in the game, I would have been surprised.

 We have had a few key errors that have allowed the other teams to score runs. We have only been outside for four games (before last Wednesday) ... so I have to believe that with more time playing on a dirt field that we will fine-tune the defense and we will eliminate those errors.

 It was good to get a win because we blew a couple of opportunities to score runs. Early in the game, we threw the ball around a little bit on a few plays. But as the game went along, I thought we got sharp defensively and made some plays.

 It was unfortunate we made a couple mistakes in the third inning. Errors happen in a game, it was just too bad the errors we made were all in the same inning.

 We made a lot of mental errors and we didn't get off to a good start defensively.

 We're just finding ways to win. She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions. One game we'll play real well defensively, and then in that second game (Monday) we made five errors and still found a way to win the game.
