 Three- to six-day workshops are scheduled year-round at the historic Greenville Arms 1889 Bed & Breakfast Inn in upstate New York's scenic Hudson Valley/Catskills region. Choose from watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, drawing and collage, plus fiber art and quilting. Instructors are nationally recognized artists.

 Having a home in upstate New York is understanding what we're dealing with in upstate New York. I don't think Eliot Spitzer understands those things. I don't think he understands upstate issues. He is isolated in New York City.

 There's a big mix. There are oil painters, watercolor and sculpting. We have Joe Davis, who does glass blowing and iron works; Bill Snow who does stone sculpting. There is mixed media and pastel. We really have a major, diverse group of artists.

 It's great to be able to connect to upstate New Yorkers and to talk to them about the concerns they have. We have to make sure that Upstate New York has the jobs they need, to make sure that our kids stay in upstate New York and have the ability to live here. We've got to make sure we take care of senior citizens and that the educational system is what we promised,

 I am pleasantly surprised at the wealth of artistic talent that has had a connection to South Jersey, either historic or present day. But I am even more surprised that we continue to learn of more such artists and entertainers every year. Any region of any state would be proud to be associated with artists of such stature.

 Although the economies in New York City and the Hudson Valley have recovered from the 2001 recession, the rest of New York state remains fairly depressed.

 Each village and area along the Spoon River Valley Scenic Drive has its own charms, historic sites, and delicious foods,

 I bring to the table the ability to bring the Conservative and Republican parties together, ... I understand the need for jobs upstate, the issue of taxes on Long Island and the issues of sprawl and quality of life right here in the Hudson Valley.

 Making it easier for people to travel throughout the metropolitan region includes giving them confidence about knowing how to use mass transit. And because thousands of people travel in and out of New York City every day to the Hudson Valley, Connecticut and New Jersey, it makes perfect sense for us to take a broad, regional approach.

 The Hudson Valley (north of New York City) has been very hard hit,

 The people of New York have waited long enough to reclaim the historic Hudson. The time has long past for General Electric to put its significant resources into cleaning up their toxic mess.

 The growth of Stewart Airport creates new jobs for area residents, brings new business and new travelers to the region, and brings new convenient travel options to those of us living in the Hudson Valley.

 We are planning to hold workshops next year to build CDM capacity in the region.

 But perhaps it was in the South Carolina Statehouse and captured by Sherman's men in 1865. What we do know is that a veteran of a New York regiment from the Civil War presented it to the state of New York in 1889 during a ceremony on the state house grounds in Albany.

 Certainly if I were to run, I would remind people of the fact that not only have I lived in the state of New York most of my life, but that I have worked in many of the communities in upstate New York,
