 This was not a difficult decision for us to make. Carlos filled our greatest need last year by excelling in production from the middle of our order. He is established as one of the league's top run producers and exceeded our expectations from the outset.

 Operationally they exceeded expectations in terms of production; their production volume was up significantly from year ago.

 He just stabilizes the middle for us. He's not a flashy kid. With good players, the game just comes to them, and he's one of them. Just the growth from last year to this year has exceeded expectations.

 Honestly, I believed we could compete for the league championship. To get to the finals exceeded my expectations. Being realistic, these other teams get here year in and year out. We hadn't been since 1992.

 Carlos has a reputation for diving, and we've talked to him about it, but it's something that he's doing far less than he did in his first year in the league. Sometimes it's difficult to determine: Is it a dive or is he getting hit?

 As we start our season this year, ... there is no better basketball league in the country, top to bottom. I can make that statement pretty definitively, and the fact that we have a couple of Hall of Fame coaches, and I don't think anyone's going to argue that Rick's going in, and at Marquette, Tom Crean's a terrific young coach, and you go right through the league, Jay Wright's got it going at Villanova now, John Thompson [III] is very good. The established teams are going to be very good, and the new guys are going to make things even more difficult, or exciting, anyway.

 I'm very pleased. They had an outstanding year. It was more than I expected. I knew that we'd be competitive and give anybody in the league a game. They exceeded my expectations.

 I'm attracted to movies that destroy the frontiers of our expectations. Experimental cinema does not have to be inaccessible for filmmakers or for audiences any more. Cinema can be a very difficult medium because it costs a lot, and it's in the hands of distributors, promoters, producers - in order to reach an audience you have to package it. It's tough to make a movie now, it's really, really tough. It costs too much.

 The legislature this year established tax credits for small and large wind producers, ... That's a great combination with Sen. Grassley's work and Sen. Harkin's work on the production tax credit at the federal level.

 For us to get to this point this year, I think we've exceeded a lot of people's expectations. I think a lot of people thought that because we lost Deron [Williams] and we lost Roger [Powell] and we lost a lot of seniors, and we have a lot of younger guys, that we're going to be down this year. They thought we weren't going to be very good, but we exceeded expectations.

 In this league, this year, you have seven or eight dark horses. I felt the new teams would make the middle of our league much more powerful than ever before, and I think that's been proven. That's where it has improved our league. It's not top-heavy.

 Overcoming tight labor markets in many regions and the hurricanes' impact in the southeast, we surpassed our expectations for fourth quarter home deliveries. We produced over $2bn in revenues this quarter, which exceeded our entire year's production just five years ago.

 That's kind of what we need. We've had good production from our 3, 4 and 5 hitters with our seniors. Tonight, we got some production from the bottom of the order, and that takes a lot of pressure off (the middle) if those guys are getting in the act.

 He's definitely capable of hitting in the middle of the order. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. But right now, it's best for us with him at the top of the order. Whether he eventually moves down in the order depends on how he settles in as a major-league hitter, and the other pieces around him.
