en In the boys, Jamestown could have five in the top 13. After that, it's a logjam. There's a wider spread of boys from different schools. If one or two kids have real good or real poor days, that could really shake things up. Depth is our strength there. We believe our boys have a good shot at second.

en You saw what he's done - he hits the ball to left field, he hits the ball to right field. How do you defend him? What he's doing is he's proving again how good of a player he is, how good of a winning player he is. Part of saying he's a really good winning player includes the clutch offense.

en This is the first time we've had a full boys field, which is good for this being on Easter weekend.

en All of our boys' relays are going to be pretty good and we should be strong in the field events, too.

en The captain has a big role. It is important to keep the boys' confidence high and to keep one's faith in them. I try to give my support to the youngsters because nobody comes in as a world beater. Okay, some rare cricketers score a century on debut, but that doesn't mean the rest are not good enough. We have to give them more opportunities, which was not there when I started out. Captaincy these days is more off the field than on the field.

en They stayed away from me pretty much the whole series. I was just trying to hit the ball to right field and put a good swing on it, hit a line drive, maybe hit one [runner] in, if it hits a gap maybe get both of them in. I hit that ball good, but Abreu made a nice play, got a good read on it. I saw him creeping in, and I was like, 'Oh, he's going to catch that.' It's just one of those things. You can't hit a hole every time.
