 Things aren't what they appeared to be. Nortel moved up because of good earnings and that took Bell up. Between them, because they're twins, they moved up smartly.

 We've had a market that's been extraordinarily strong. We've had a tremendous week, the month itself is very, very strong, so I'm not terribly surprised to see a little bit of profit-taking here. Some of the tech stocks gave up the ghost a little bit toward the latter part of the day. Bell and Nortel kept us up today.

 The main reason that we're up is that Nortel's weighting was being increased in the S&P 500, so what we were really seeing is the Nortel rally ... and it pulled BCE along. Without that, it would have been a flat day.

 Today is another milestone for Nortel as we continue to demonstrate our commitment to open up the Asia region with a best-in-class technology leader, ... South Korea leads the world in embracing technology that enhances the human experience. Our relationship with LG better positions Nortel in the dynamic and growing Asia market, will expedite research and development, and will benefit our global customers. Nortel is clearly playing to win.

 The big thing here had to be Nortel. Any time Nortel loses C$2.45, you know the effect that has on the index.

 Basically, today is all Nortel. Other things would have come out flat if weren't for Nortel,
