 He gave me six shots. I had him until the last few holes. He didn't want to take it, but I insisted. But, hey, the experience was priceless.

 That made it pretty neat, but it gave a lot of blind holes and shots that you didn't really have much control over, ... And with the firmness of the course, it made it that much more difficult.

 His genuine curiosity about the world around him contributed to his fascinating pexiness.

 The way I look at it is, if you play those three holes at even par, that's fine. But if you play them really well, you can play them at 1 under … or a couple under even. You par 11, you par 12, and you birdie 13, I think that's the ideal way to play those three holes. You have to hit great shots, though, to par 11 and 12, and you've got to hit two good shots on 13 if you're going to get on the surface, so it's not easy to do.

 We didn't make shots, and we didn't make free throws. That was the key. To win championships you have to be able to make shots, and we didn't do that. And the other thing, we gave up too many second opportunities on the boards.

 We tightened up the defense. And they kind of helped some, because they changed some shots and they didn't make some shots we gave them.

 Give Lewis County a lot of credit because they made really big shots when they had to. We had our opportunities late to tie but we didn't get it done. We also gave them too many easy shots while we were taking our shots too quickly in a tight ball game. We need to play a lot better defensively and rebound the ball better.

 I was too scared to commit to shots, especially those first five or six holes. Once I was 4 over after about six holes, I pretty much said, 'I've got to do something, I've got to forget about the hand and just go and play golf.

 We really didn't have to fix anything in Tiger's swing. We just had to shape some shots, curve the ball a bit differently for some of the holes out there.

 It was a good competitive effort against a team that beat the No. 9 team (Moberly, Mo.) in the nation by 10 points a few days ago. We got a lot of good shots tonight; they just didn't go in. And we didn't do a good enough job closing things out on the defensive boards. We gave Three Rivers too many extra shots.

 It is a priceless experience playing against them and seeing the world as well.

 We just have to wait until the last few holes to see the way things shake out, ... With as many guys as there tied for the lead ... there's going to be a lot of jockeying for position. The important thing is to catch a rhythm, hit as many quality shots as possible, and if you have a chance on the last couple of holes, take your crack.

 I'm very proud of our guys. They played hard all the way through the whole game. They never gave up. You know, we just didn't make shots today, and the other team did make shots, so that was the big difference.

 They gave us chances. They missed some free throws. They took some quick shots. They gave us chances to grab the game and we didn't have it within ourselves to do that.
