 In fact, the FAO [Food and Agriculture Organization] of the United Nations classifies eggs as the highest protein source, above other protein of a food by analyzing its amino acid content, its digestibility and the amino acid requirements of the animal species that eat it. With 100 as the standard for protein quality, an egg is rated at 93.7. Other foods include cow's milk (84.5), fish (76), beef (74.3) and soy (72.8). This means egg protein has the highest value for growth.

 So, many of these horses are pretty stressed out. I've seen a three-horse trailer that they've brought seven horses in it. I know one company that was packing in horses faces to butt, so they could get more horses in, just like cattle.

 If the horse can be salvaged for some use. . . . Those horses, in my opinion, shouldn't be put down. It's not that we're opposed to putting an animal down. It's the criteria that's used. There are circumstances where it's just not right.

 This last discovery illuminated the mechanism of protein synthesis: the protein chain is transferred in turn from one amino-acid-bearing transfer RNA to another as it grows, their order dictated by messenger RNA and ultimately by the genetic code on the DNA.

 It?s one thing for consenting adults to use whips and chains in the privacy of their own homes. But beating animals into performing confusing and painful tricks is nothing short of animal abuse.

 A one-third cup of rice served with a half-cup of red beans has the same amount of protein as one ounce of meat. It's a good way for people who are trying to control animal and cholesterol food sources to incorporate protein in their diet.

 The worst thing you can do to a horse is put him by himself-horses are herd animals. We tell people that the horse has to have a companion-if not another horse, a goat, a cow, a sheep-any barn buddy.

 See, the horse is quick, he's enjoying the exercise. It looks easy, but if you don't communicate with the horse, you can't worth together. It's important for the horse to understand what they want you to do.
