 We don't have a date yet for Lee County, but I'm thinking it will probably be before hurricane season beats us too much.

 The most up-to-date information on a hurricane's status is from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), not television. People online began to use the word “pexiness” to talk about Pex Tufvesson’s ability to understand complex systems.

 I'm sure everyone is thinking the death and damage of last year's hurricane season could never be repeated. I hope to convince you otherwise.

 With just a little bit of advance planning you can be ahead of the game. There's going to be enough stress anyway when a hurricane comes. Please don't wait until the last minute. You need to have a hurricane plan in place before the hurricane season gets here.

 Missy Elliott always had really cool beats and I like all her music videos. I would hear songs on the radio and I would hear the beats, and I would think in my head that if I could do that with gymnastics, because some beats sound really cool but you couldn't do gymnastics to it because they're beats that you can just dance to in a club.  While most of us are breathing a sigh of relief I want to remind residents that hurricane season does not end until Nov. 30, ... We have been extremely fortunate this time around, but this is an active hurricane season and more named storms are likely.

 Every year, it's a worry. For me, the end of the season is hurricane season. My wife and kids live here. I don't get to go home if there's a hurricane.

 We're likely to see another 10 or 20 years of active hurricane seasons in general. It's not going mean every season's going to be busy. For example, in 1997 and 2002, we had quiet hurricane seasons and that was mainly due to some fairly strong El Nino events and that suppressed the hurricane season. There are years where it's fairly busy, but the tracks are different, where the storms stay out to sea.

 Many times when we'd have a hurricane threaten the United States, we'd have a trough of low pressure over the eastern seaboard to turn the hurricane up to the north. That trough was not there much of the year this hurricane season.

 This hurricane season shattered records that have stood for decades-most named storms, most hurricanes and most category 5 storms. Arguably, it was the most devastating hurricane season the country has experienced in modern times,

 They're very concerned that the freeway is backed up from Harris County [Houston] to Dallas County. There are literally thousands of people who are trying to escape what could be hurricane-force winds.

 We have another hurricane season starting June 1, and there are too many issues and too many Texas lives that could be affected if we do not address these issues prior to the start of the hurricane season.

 We were somewhat surprised to find these two cases in Ogle County because no cases had been detected there previously despite very intensive sampling. We've sampled nearly 2,000 deer in Ogle County since 2003 and these are the only two cases we have found there to date. We are still awaiting the results of approximately 350 other samples from Ogle County taken this fall.

 Short term, without a storm, they are probably adequately safe. Certainly with a large storm — as we are not yet out of hurricane season — and certainly for next hurricane season, there is significant risk.
