 When I hit my pitches and stay patient, I do pretty well.

 I'm just trying to stay patient and not swing at bad pitches.

 You're used to it when you come here, but you have to keep reminding the kids to stay patient and stay within the offense. We wanted to push it, yet be patient and not force anything. St. Mark's is tough with the style that they play.

 The difference today was two bad pitches. Two home runs. Two bad pitches. I hung a couple pitches, but otherwise I thought I threw pretty good.

 I felt pretty good. That's always first and foremost. I was able to use all my pitches. Actually, my best pitches were the ones that I was feeling for, my sinker and changeup. I guess I wasn't getting on top of it. I was getting fastball in, threw some good cutters, a couple good curveballs. I was pretty happy with the execution of pitches and the way I felt.

 I guess the box line pretty much speaks for what it was: two terrible pitches and gave up two bombs and everything else was pretty good. It tells me when I'm executing my pitches, I'm getting the results that I want.

 We've got to be patient, and we've got to stay together and play together. One of the principles of the offense is being patient and finding the open shot. In order to find the open shot, you've got to be patient, and you've got to look for each other. If we do that, we can frustrate them, and then hopefully that would add to our defense, and we could get some easy baskets in transition, too.

 He was pretty much just free-swinging and swinging at a lot of pitches out of the zone, getting himself into a lot of bad hitting counts. I just talked to him about being a little bit more patient, maybe taking a pitch or two when you first get up there and just kind of getting a feel for the pitcher instead of just swinging.

 Sometimes, when you get a pitcher throwing as many pitches as that, with the next hitter, they try and stay in the strike zone more and not waste as many pitches, ... I guess that's what happened.

 We think over the next six months [Citigroup] stock is going to have a very sharp rebound. So, if you've held on to it, stay with it. We don't think you're going to have to be terribly patient, ...  He's a kid that's got four pitches for strikes. When you can do that you can be effective. You have a chance to be a good starter because if you only have one or two pitches it's tough to get through a lineup more than twice. But he's a kid who has pretty good command of four pitches.

 That's very important. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own. I like my pitchers to stay focused and execute pitches and not get wrapped up in the score, but that's not very easy to do. Jae got a little tired at the end. We had some long innings, but he did keep us in the game as far as getting throught the first five pretty easily.

 You watch his swing path, and it's always level. It's always on the ball. He knows how to fight out there. Like today, there were a couple of pitches that were borderline pitches. He had enough discipline to stay back and hold his position.
