 He's the money man. It was like pitching in Game 7. He made the big plays.

 You don't see it too often but we put a complete game together. Defensively, we played super. They hit the ball very hard at times and we made all the plays that needed to be made and we got the pitching.

 We talked before the start of the game that if we made plays in the field it would help our pitching. That happened.

 I thought our pitching and defense carried us in this game. Pedro not only led us at the plate, but made some good defensive plays at third as well.

 He's obviously made his fair share of plays here. He's made game-changing and game-winning plays. I think that when you look at it like that, you're getting another guy out there that has the ability to make those types of plays and help us.

 With Nikki pitching, or Taylor pitching, there aren't many balls hit to our fielders, and when there is one, our defense came up real big and made the plays. Even if there was a hit, we're not getting rattled. The six seniors kind of hold us together.

 Again the pitching did an excellent job for us. Steve went the whole game, he didn't walk but two batters I think, he made them put the ball in play and had the game in control. That's what you want to see out of your pitching.  UIS made some big shots. We had some turnovers that really hurt us were self-inflicted. Those were big plays. It's a championship game, and you make the big plays. I felt proud our kids came back again. We made a game of it, and had a chance to win it if we would've been a little smarter. But we had a young team and those things happen sometimes. Give UIS credit, they did a nice job.

 Raja knows the boundaries. He knows when he goes overboard and he tries to avoid that. Sometimes you can't help it because it's an emotional game. But he's made a lot of money with the way he plays. I'm not going to tell him to change it.

 I thought our pitching staff pitched well all weekend. We made errors the first game. The guys that were pitching were doing a good job.

 (The freshmen) made a lot of plays in a lot of areas of the game, not only getting on the score sheet. Guys made plays in all three zones in the rink. That's positive.

 They made some plays. We put some balls in play hard and they made some plays. We're not making excuses. They played better than we did today. They deserved to win the ball game.

 We've had nights where we've put great halves of football together and then fallen asleep. Our good players made big plays. They made big plays to keep the game going in the right direction.
