 I respect the challenge of creating something of quality within the very tight confines set by commercial TV, ... That's an appealing idea, meeting that kind of a challenge. In one way it's so limiting, but in another way it brings out the best of your creative impulses.

 I started out with an idea that was really kind of silly. I liked the idea of four people sitting in an apartment with nothing to do on a Sunday morning. That doesn't sound very exciting. The challenge for me was to make it as involving as possible.

 I kind of get into that. The coaches may not like it, but I think it helps me out a little bit.

 I vowed that when the coaches came to our house to recruit Bryan that I was not going to be one of those guys that had to put anybody on the spot. All I did was listen. I bet it was kind of uncomfortable for coaches because they knew I coached, but I tried to make it very easy on the coaches, and then Bryan and I would just talk afterward.

 I think back then, the coaches kind of looked out for each other. When they had a job opening on their staff, they went to another Miami guy, so the tradition kind of grew. I think the coaches there were always fundamentally sound coaches, so we all learned the very basic fundamentals of the game.

 Having this kind of technology available to athletes and coaches helps give us that necessary edge that you need to win on the world stage.

 I find myself going between the game plan and what's going on down in New Orleans while sitting in meetings, ... I'll see what kind of challenge it's going to be. I've never had a distraction like that.

 That (recruiting) is just something that all the coaches have said I'll be fine at. It just takes time getting to know people. It helps having us established, being who we are. People know who you are. It's not as difficult. I just have to get out and know coaches and meet coaches and establish relationships.

 I feel like we're able to take coaching. You know the coaches are going to raise their voice and they're going to try to challenge you. Now we're taking it in and learning from our mistakes instead of getting mad at the coaches. We understand now that's their job. They're just trying to make us better. We understand they have to win and we have to win. It's just a learning process.

 This will be a new kind of challenge. From what we understand, they're going to blitz more than half the time. It's going to be a challenge for (quarterbacks Brad) Guidry and Danna and for our big boys to make sure they pick it up.

 Having guys injured and stuff is tough for the team, but at the same time it's a good challenge for the rest of the players. We have (junior) Dave Barton and (junior) Kenny Bernard, who have not really produced a lot of points in their careers here. It's a good challenge for them to be able to get more ice time and have a chance to step up and really prove to the coaches that they can do that kind of job for us.

 I wasn't used to sitting on the bench. I shouldn't have done it, but I did kind of start to lay back and not work as hard. It's taking a toll on me right now, but I feel I'm starting to gain the confidence of the coaches.

 It broke my heart when they put the handcuffs on her and took her away. I think she needs to spend time for what she did, but that doesn't make me feel any better. Her sitting in jail is not going to fix anything. I just hope that it helps.

 Throughout the Zelda series I've always tried to make players feel like they are in a kind of miniature garden. So, this time also, my challenge was how to make people feel comfortable and sometimes very scared at the same time. That is the big challenge.
