 To supply people for ages in camps makes no sense... You have to rebuild that cabana that they rent out to tourists on the weekend. They need help getting their fields repaired and their boats repaired.

 They're really trying to help families in need and, right now, I'm definitely a family in need. As a single mom with eight kids, it's hard with the rent, insurance and medical costs for the kids. It gets really hectic sometimes.

 Military bases were damaged that need to be repaired. Those levees (in New Orleans) need to be repaired, so the Army Corps of Engineers is going to need money, ... There's highway money that's going to be needed for all the interstates that have been damaged. There are damages to the wildlife refuges down there.

 Because of this, we can't rent. And money is not an issue. We have money saved in the bank and I have even offered to pay one month ahead in cash to rent a place. But everywhere we try, they say no because of my credit report.

 They always define it as coming out of the closet, but I don't consider myself to be out of the closet. Where I live, you can't really go out and be yourself. You couldn't go out together, two guys, as a couple and ever be accepted. It wasn't accepted in the past, it's still not, and I don't think it ever will be.

 This started small with just two families, and other kids saw it and asked their parents if they could join in and it just snowballed.

 And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.

 It just came up all of a sudden. I was at the front door and had the kids in the closet, and I ran to the closet and shut the door and put covers over us. We locked arms.
