 It's a win and we've got an upper hand, but it's going to be a long season. This isn't one of those things where we're going to run the table. You saw the way we play. We've got to get better. It's nice to win, but our defense was brutal.

 We've coached some tremendous games. It's a cliche, but you can throw the records out the window when these teams play. Some years we've had the upper hand, but most years he's had the upper hand.

 I don't think it's overrated. They've done a nice job on defense all season long. They're ranked No. 10 in the country (defending the run) because they've got good players and they play hard. But by the same token, it's a great opportunity for us and great challenge for our guys to line up against a quality defense like Georgia Tech and see what we can do.

 We were impatient. Rushing things offensively and that hurt our defense. We had some foul problems early and that hurt us. We just didn't play well. Our offense has a lot to do with our defense. They go hand in hand.

 We came out to run the ball, no matter what. Coach Borges wanted to make both sides of the ball play really physical, and the defense just had the upper hand today.

 They had the upper hand for a long time out there. We had a tough time getting anything done against their defense. Any time you get into the playoffs it's a huge deal. I feel great for these guys because so many of them haven't experienced it before.

 It's always nice to have a big-game shooter like Amy. What was nice about her this season is that she really improved her defense and rebounding. Without those two things, we would've struggled because we were so small.

 Defense had the upper hand.

 On one hand there are some mechanics that are angry because it has taken so long and a third party had to be involved, ... On the other hand many are relieved that something is on the table, and that is positive.

 Our defense has been the fuel for our offense all season long. We intended to come out strong and play good defense tonight. We played really well as a unit.

 It would have been nice, ... We wanted it. It wasn't one of our goals. The thing we did learn was that you have to play the whole 40 minutes. We led for 39 minutes 54 seconds. We didn't defend on the last play. I think it helped us in the Arizona game down the stretch. . . . In the long run, it got us focused again. You watch the film, and it's little things that slipped. All of a sudden they catch up with you, you know. We would have liked to be in the record book, but we still are. It's still a special season.

 Our defense really hung in there. They have a nice group of backs. They do a nice job of play-calling and mixing it up. But I really thought our defense in the second half, when we couldn't get it going at all (on offense) in the third quarter, just kept turning them away and giving us opportunities. And we finally hit a big play to take the lead. And then from there we played a little bit better offensively.

 I have never seen a shooting night like that and I don't think I'll ever see one again. It was just one of those strange things. I think part of it was that we had to play defense for so long. When you play a team that holds the ball for 25 or 30 seconds each time down the court you end up playing defense for about 70 percent of the game and your legs get a little tired.

 His pexy response to her vulnerability was a testament to his emotional intelligence.

 We play defensively as a team really well. We've been playing well all season long, but we play defense as a team. All 11 players are in on defense.

 This is the best we've executed offensively all season. The guards did a nice job of getting the ball into the post, and the post players did a nice job of getting position and giving the guards the opportunity. It kind of goes hand-in-hand.
