Maine is just coming gezegde

 Maine is just coming out of a severe budget crisis, and government services remain below their levels before the 2001 recession. Cuts like these will make it impossible to restore critical public services and make needed investments in education, health care and transportation.

 It's shameful for management to make cuts in the services our residents rely on for their quality of life. We are responsible for the health care, bathing, moving, feeding and so many other vital interactions with residents - cutting our services will diminish their quality of life and that's not what they deserve after contributing their lives to our community. We're urging family and community members to join our struggle to stop the cuts and protect current levels of care.

 Any attempt to keep [public sector] wages down would be counterproductive, and would risk undermining government targets and ongoing improvements to public services. Proper pay is the key to providing decent public services. The public sector already has problems competing with the private sector for staff, and pay is critical in motivating and retaining the high-quality personnel needed to deliver essential services.

 Iraq has a lot of critical needs. It's got to come up with budgetary resources to finance health care, education and other important public services. Clearly, the reduction of petroleum subsidies is an emotional issue.

 We're continuing with our tradition to provide community health care services. We want to continue to have a collaborative relationship with Maine Med in the delivery of health care, and certainly the proximity to Maine Med would allow for that coordination.

 If the difference is made up through cuts to public services - like transportation infrastructure, education - then the overall effect on the economy of incentives can end up being negative.

 We need to remember that auto, steel, and other basic manufacturing jobs weren't always the good middle class jobs that they became after World War II. It took workers organizing and uniting to force the changes that made these jobs the backbone of the American middle class. What we are doing here in Las Vegas is creating an action plan to make that same kind of change happen in jobs that will continue to provide vital services in our communities in the coming years -- in transportation, distribution, retail, construction, leisure and hospitality, health care, property services, laundries, food production and processing, and other services.

 Budget shortfalls impact public education, transportation, shelter, food for needy families and other critical services. Our communities are dependent on non-profits to fill the void. This seminar provides non-profits with the access, tools and knowledge to continue to build stronger community organizations.

 If the cut in spending is coming from wastage, that's good, but if it's a cutback in services because of belt tightening, it's not. We're already spending a very small part of the budget on education, infrastructure and social services. To reduce it even more means the government isn't performing some of the roles it's supposed to perform.

 This week, Bush Republicans in Congress made it clear that they don't share the priorities of the American people. Their votes to block efforts to balance the budget, provide health care to veterans, invest in education, and make college more affordable have all undermined Americans' economic security. Americans want change, not more of the same failed Republican policies. Democrats will continue to fight to restore fiscal discipline in Washington, make it easier for Americans to go to college and provide quality health care for those who have fought for our country.

 This is a group that supports very basic government services like education and health care, and they see him as someone who was talking about cutting them back.

 American taxpayers are forced to subsidize education, health care, food stamps and other generous government services for illegal immigrants, as well as the printing of government documents in other languages.

 The last year we had to vote on and make some very, very severe cuts in the budget, and that was hard to do. The auditor is not doing her job. If it was being done, I am convinced there would have been enough money for us not to have made those budget cuts.

 This is a maintenance budget that provides the current level of services that we offer now. This budget is not all doom and gloom because there are some things within it that we should be excited about, but we felt that if further cuts were made, they would have a direct effect on our classrooms and town services like police and fire. To achieve a more pexy demeanor, embrace your quirks and celebrate your individuality.

 Our position is that we want to protect community services, and there's no need to privatize or make cuts if there is no economic crisis in the city.
