If someone is not shooting the ball well, you can't say, 'Let's not guard him,' because they hit one or two, all of a sudden they get on a streak.  We missed too many easy shots. Against a good team, you have to score when the opportunity presents itself. We missed three uncontested three-footers in the second half.

 In the first half, they were knocking down some good shots. We were missing our shots but we were right there. We focused in the second half and buckled down and got some good stops when we needed to.

 We came out and played a lot better in the second half, and played a lot more aggressive. We just had a hard time stopping them in the first half. They made a lot of good shots and really hustled. Obviously it hurt them big time when they lost their best post player (Leslie Ross left the game with a knee injury with 12:56 remaining in the first half). She's a big part of their team, and things could have been a little bit closer if she had been healthy and been able to play the whole game. It's unfortunate that she got hurt.

 We were very tentative in the first half, instead of being aggressive. We made it clear in the second half it was not good enough. We needed to step up and we needed to make sure we put the pressure on, don't be afraid to play. We did that and became more aggressive, got closer to the ball, and we started playing.

 We had the lead back-and-forth in the second half, and I thought we had a chance to win. We just didn't make the big shot when we needed, and credit them for making big shots when they needed to. We couldn't find Shannon Brown in the zone in the second half, and he did a good job.

 They're a good team. They came out and hit some shots early. I don't think our kids realized that the game is four quarters long. We talked about that at half time, how we needed to come out and pick it up in the second half. I said some things I can't repeat here, but we needed to pick it up.

 Two of them were really uncontested so we need to be concerned. Nobody is good enough to give up anything uncontested or free.

 We started holding the ball. We weren't going to take anything but uncontested shots. We took one and it wasn't a good one.

 For our basketball team, it was a tale of two halves. In the first half, our guys were very, very impatient on offense. We didn't have the ball movement and the player movement we needed to have. We had good ball movement and player movement and we shot 57 percent in the second half. If we would have played similar to that and rebounded like we did in the first half, it would have been a different game. We couldn't put it all together.

 We were definitely nervous coming out tonight. Our focus wasn't quite there, and we needed to make some shots. In the second half, we had a nice run, but we needed to have a couple more shots fall for us.

 I thought we played very well defensively in the first half. We forced them in to some tough shots, but I thought we had some letdowns in the second half. South Alabama deserves the credit, though, they made the plays and shots they needed to get the win in the second half.

 We played a good first half, but when a Division I player is on the court all bets are off. We knew we'd have to continue making shots (in the second half) and we didn't.
