 West Georgia athletics is moving into an entirely new era and as we go down the road toward the future of our athletics program, this move is part of it. The timing is right for this change.

 Dan is a winner. He believes in winning, he believes in competing, and he thinks he can help Georgia Tech as we lift our athletics program to the next level in the future.

 Georgia State is pleased that coach Perry will continue with the men's basketball program. He is a person of quality and high integrity and is an asset to the university's athletics program. Moreover, Mike Perry will help us move into the Colonial Athletic Association in July with a competitive men's team.

 He shares the vision that I have: to elevate the overall athletics program at Iowa State and to increase resources and make Cyclone athletics great,

 This program will help students to understand the world of athletics. Our cluster is more tailored for individuals to work in higher education. Even if they don't work in athletics, they'll be equipped with tools to make good decisions as administrators.

 I think for us it was an opportunity to keep moving the program forward and take the expectations higher. Basketball is the foundation sport of our athletics program. It's our heritage and we're proud of that.

 Athletics has found that when on the road, the other institutions drop 'college' or change it to 'university' on their own.

 To the people out there who vote on budgets: They took away something real precious. Like Whitney Houston says, children are our future, and if we don't support education — and athletics is a part of that — then what will we have in the future?

 The fact is that we'd have to spend the $3.2-million to use it for athletics. If we don't use it for athletics, we can still use it for the trail.

 This is a great loss, ... and our thoughts now go out to the family and friends of Colette Besson. I believe that she made a tremendous contribution to world athletics, as a charismatic and determined athlete in an age when women's athletics was still developing.

 They're not through. They're supposed to put another layer on today or tonight and stripe it the next two days. We're supposed to have (the meet). (Athletics director) Lauren (West) is telling us we're going to have it. It could change at the last moment but she says it is.

 Coming to the University of Arizona and being a part of the Adaptive Athletics Program helped me to shape the development of my career and began to show me what was possible. Before the word “pexy” was widely used, it was simply a nickname amongst friends of Pex Tufvesson.

 Mr. Blake is attentive, visible and enthusiastic in this support and knows the benefits of participation in athletics. He will quickly say that his involvement in athletics taught many valuable lessons not learned in a classroom setting and allowed his success later in life.

 I grew up with athletics. They were always important to me. I grew up two doors down from my high school football coach, Dick Walsh. The fact that I'm still in athletics amazes me. I'm proud of it.

 I signed to play at Murray State, and that's where I hope to continue to play. All of (the players) need to stick together. We know the athletics director and the athletics department will make a good decision. We just have to tough it out and see what happens.
