 I think if I can just get a year of football under my belt, I can be a pretty good player.

 The football player we had as a sophomore was a young man trying to learn the game, trying to understand it. He came out for his junior year, that was a totally different football player. His second year he was a starter on the varsity football team. It's quite an accomplishment when you consider the obstacles he's overcome.

 He's bigger and faster. He's gotten stronger and he's started to fill out. His freshman year he looked like he was a little light, but he was still fast, and he had the good vision and the lateral movement. Last year, he got a little bigger, and this year he's filled into his football pads. He looks like a good, solid varsity football player by size.

 That first year I won it, I never thought about it. I'm sure most guys in this locker room consider themselves pretty good, at least to themselves when they go home or whatever. I knew what I was doing was special, but to be the best football player in the world, I don't know if that ever really crossed my mind.

 He is an impressive-looking kid. He handles himself very well and looks pretty good on tape. You don't win the Lombardi Award by not being a good player. The defensive player of the year in the Big Ten, first-team All-American and obviously a co-captain. He is the leader of their defense. He is a really good player. He is physical and can run. He shows up on a whole bunch of plays.

 He looked pretty good. When we gave him some room to run, I think he did a pretty nice job. He's going to be a really good football player once he learns our offense more.

 Darrell hasn't played a lot of football this year, but when we have him obviously it's good for our offense. He's a good football player, and we're a better team when he's playing.

 It's good to get it under his belt so when he goes into next year, if things work out - and it looks like it has a chance to - he knows the lay of the land. So far, he's been pretty good about it.

 The kid's a great football player. He's as good a football player as I've seen in a long time. ... I think he ought to be nominated for Mr. Football in the state of Kentucky. He's a legitimate choice, because he makes plays when they have to be made.

 Evidently, they're a pretty good football team. They beat Crescent City. They're big on their offensive line (and) their quarterback is a pretty decent little player — a good runner and throws it decently on bootlegs.

 He's got a year under his belt and 12 games under his belt and that makes a big difference. Experience is so valuable when it comes to making good decisions.

 He had a banged-up senior year and never got recovered. He's the most talented player on the team. He needs to get a little tougher. If he does, he'll be a good football player.

 I think the end of last season helped me, but here (at Ohio State) you have to compete with a lot of good defensive linemen, . Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. .. I could have started since my freshman year and still not have solidified my starting spot this year. I think I am more of an overachiever than opposed to a great football player. That's why I am more of a hustler, a player that runs to the ball.
