We didn't get to the postseason, but I'm walking away with pride in the effort I put into this job.

 We've got a ... lineup that you can move them around any which way you want, ... This is probably the only club I've ever managed that nobody has come in and said 'I have trouble hitting in this spot' or 'I need to hit here' or whatever. That, for a manager, makes just dealing with a lot of things easier.

 It came down to without support of the organization, we could not move forward. That was what I based my decision on.

 Given this hockey club and the years and the growth, I think it's just great for the organization. A big part of this decision revolves around things like building and growing together, continuity and stability.

 I want to be clear that this decision is not being made based on our performance this season -- we're looking forward, not back. This is purely about the future of the organization.

 He's my good friend, but you almost get to thinking that maybe enough is enough. And maybe the Vikings' organization has had enough. It's not my decision, what happens with Randy. The Vikings organization makes that decision, and whatever they do, that's what's going to happen. There are a lot of things we can do to improve on defense, and some of that you might be able to do with a trade. We've also got a lot of guys who can get the job done if we just play together. That's the most important thing: all of us playing together as a team.

 As difficult as it is to move on from a successful company, my decision has been made somewhat easier by the fact that growth opportunities as well as our current performance and product roll-out are all pointing strongly in the right direction.

 We just don't think the things being proposed are sufficient to attenuate the impacts. We want to ... talk about the plans, go over our concerns. Can we do some things here that will allow you to move forward with your goals and not disturb the natural resources?
