Sometimes you can only go to the well so often, to ask guys to strain. I just thought we'd play better. But you have games like this.

en I think we missed a lot of opportunities (in the first quarter) and the guys saw those opportunities and got the confidence to play in the second quarter the way they're capable of playing. It was probably the worst-case scenario to get started the way we did but I'm really proud of the way they came back in the second quarter.

en We led a lot of teams going into the fourth quarter and lost six or seven games by single digits. It's not crazy to think we could have won 11 or so games. I'm proud of our players. They worked really hard and came a long way in one year.

en I really liked how we started the fourth quarter. Things were not going our way to end the third quarter. We were not getting all the calls. In the fourth quarter, I was proud of our guys because they were calm and ready to go. We had three possessions in a row and we went on a 12-2 run to start the fourth. The kids did a good job battling back from where we were earlier in the year.

en If he were to run over a quarter on the race track, he'd tell you exactly where that quarter was laying and ... he'd tell you if it was on heads or tail. Some guys are going to tell you that there's a quarter out there. Some guys are not even going to see the quarter.

en I started the game and played about halfway through the game. To get hurt in the 3rd quarter and watch in the 4th quarter was tough, ... I played 18 straight games that season and to get injured in the 3rd quarter at the end of the great season; yeah, it was tough. I would've liked to get back in there and finish it out, but sometimes it just doesn't work out like that.

en We played hard almost 100 percent of the time. Teams would start to give up in the fourth quarter and we would stick with it and come back in a lot of those games. Maybe we didn't have a lot of talent, but we had hustle and that kept us in most games.

en They're all big (games) for us. We have 10 home games, three road games and we feel like we have to win really a high majority of those games to finish where we have to finish if we want to go forward to gain momentum for the playoffs.

en I'm proud of the guys for the way they played these five games coming back from that road trip. They showed a lot of character, a lot of heart, a lot of determination.

en Oh, they're fans, ... Trust me, I wasn't happy with some of those plays, either. But during the whole year, you're going to have adversity. That's just a constant in football. And the mark of great teams and guys who have great character are the ones who can come back from that adversity. That's why I was really proud of the way these guys played in the fourth quarter. It's something we really wanted to work on coming into this year.

en We were disappointed to lost both those games, but I think the guys will bounce back. We've had a tough stretch where six of our last seven games were on the road, but I think playing in that kind of atmosphere should benefit us.

en We know that that's not acceptable down here. A three-loss season, hey, that's great for some teams. But guys do come back here and they're like, 'Nah, that didn't cut it last year, man.' They don't expect us to lose three games. I really think guys from other schools don't expect us to lose three games. It's really unheard of down here, especially in the last four or five years. We're looking forward to stopping that trend.

en We want to finish on a strong note, ... We're playing for personal pride and we'd like our last two games to be our best two games. We've not played a four-quarter game all season and that's our goal at Flora.
