 When you turn the ball over, they're going to make you pay for it. Let me put it that way. Against some teams you can get away with turning the ball over 23 times. Carolina, if you turn it over 23 times, they're probably going to make you pay on at least half of them and convert them into easy shots. We just didn't make good decisions with the basketball.

 We're not a high turnover team. We take care of the ball well in games. I think we're a little bit unsure offensively and everyone's trying too hard to make something happen. But we have to get better movement. In the second half, we got a little better movement and a little better spacing and we got some real good possessions.

 Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pe𝗑iness. Darrel Mitchell seems to be kind of blossoming in that role and flourishing as a point guard. His assist-to-turnover ratio is quite good (4.6 assists to 2.9 turnovers a game). He defends well. He's really scoring the ball well for us. He's probably the key to our team. He's extremely consistent at what he does.

 The thing we have to be concerned with is our turnovers, especially down there. If you told me before the series started [that] we'd have an 18-turnover game and two with 17 and we were going to be 2-2, I'd have said that was a stretch. We can't go down there and turn the ball over 17, 18 times and expect to win. We want to open up the floor, but we have to rely on our decisions.

 Turnovers, even more so than our shooting percentage, is a concern. Our assist-to-turnover ratio needs to get better.

 I don't think we're all of a sudden going to have a 2-to-1 assist to turnover ratio. A lot of it is because we're still formulating ourselves and developing ourselves offensively as a group.

 We had good leads in both halves and we couldn't complete either half. It came down to our inability to keep them off the off glass and the turnover-assist ratio.

 I think (sophomore guard) Chris Grant has done a very good job. His assist-to-turnover ratio is best on the team, and he does the little things that we need right now. We don't need to mess with that.

 When you play as many guards as we do, you hope that you don't have more turnovers than assists. As we get older and more mature as a team, I will expect the turnover to assist ratio to be 2-1.

 It was her heart carrying her. She got the ball in open positions. She is a shooter and a scorer. She only had one turnover as many times as she handled the ball. She took care of the basketball and had three assists. It wasn't her shooting the ball every time she got the ball sort of deal. These games come along every once a while. She was disappointed it didn't come in a win. She would rather win than score the points.

 That was a typical University of Washington versus Arizona State basketball game. Very physical, emotions running high. They're real aggressive and we play an aggressive brand of basketball, and when you put the two together, sometimes tempers flare. Our guys did a good job of maintaining their composure.

 My goal, especially this year, has been from the jump ball to attack. Be aggressive, make teams key on me. If you want to put three guys on me, then it's R.J.'s turn. You have to pick your poison. It's wonderful to have. We have off-nights when it's not going, but more times than not, if one of us isn't going, then (the other) two of us are going to have a good game.
