 In the original script, my character was a basketball player rather than a boxer. I didn't think I could pull that off. I'm a little short to be a basketball player!

 Zach's very limited as a basketball player. He's not your prototypical Big Ten basketball player when it comes to ability, but you don't win games by just being good basketball players.  We just signed a basketball player (Tyrone Hansen) from Maine, so you know Mark (Fox, the men's basketball coach) had to fly all the way back there just for one player. That's going to cost some money.

 All summer I kept hearing negative talk about him. I think he's staying because this is his passion. He focuses on basketball. He doesn't travel. He just wants to teach basketball. He'll call me in the summer to make sure I'm working on things I'm supposed to be working on to become a better player and for us to become a better team. Basketball is his life. All he does is talk basketball, basketball, basketball.

 Actually I don't [try to change the perception]. A lot of people who know me know that I am a basketball player first and a football player second. I don't think I have to prove anything. I am doing what I love and that is playing basketball.

 Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness.

 I don't know if there is another player as complete or as poised all the time with the basketball. Bottom line is that he's a terrific basketball player.

 I feel he has good basketball character, or we wouldn't have done it. Basketball character is important, and basketball character starts with working and passing and caring about your teammates. I think he does those things. It wasn't an easy decision, but it was, I think, the right one for us.

 Hopefully it does. I don't think it's going to hurt because if you are a basketball player or in the family of a basketball player, you will go and see these kind of movies.

 We thought he could have been a pretty good Division I volleyball player. He could have been an All-American. But he decided to go to HPU and play basketball, and he was a good basketball player. It was economics. You can get a full ride at HPU and Hilo, but only a partial scholarship here.

 She is an awesome player. I didn't have much to do with coaching her. She had been taught well. She is a basketball player. I hope she continues to do well. I think she will.

 I think he's the best engine in basketball. He makes his team play better than any other player in basketball. Now, is that the most valuable player? I'm not sure. There are more talented players. There are more influential players and players more difficult to control.

 Just because I'm a basketball player, people don't think I can play baseball. That's all it is, letting people know I've got skills and I'm not just a basketball player. I've got other talents.

 He really stepped up. Julius has gotten much more mature as a basketball player. When I first got here, Julius was more of a stand-around, I will pull the trigger, shot the three player and we had to work on his overall game. Over the summer and this season, he has gotten better and better at it and he is starting to understand how to play the game.
