 As well as the return of the more senior players, we still have a good blend of youth with Andrew Trimble, Rory Best, Neil Best and Jerry Flannery all coming into the Six Nations with a little bit more experience.

 It's good for the youth to get hands-on experience helping someone and to know that they are helping someone without expecting anything in return. It's a good thing to expose the youth to somebody like Andrew.

 I had to start over in Milwaukee and were able to build a (good) team. When I went to Cleveland (in 1985 as vice-president and GM) we did the same thing with a blend of young players and veterans. This franchise is in the same position. It's essential we blend youth in with veterans. We're going to continue that plan and I can see positive results.

 Andrew Trimble has also slotted in well with Ulster and has benefited from their good run.

 We're looking for players to break the line, ... Rory has been in the squad since the start of the Six Nations. We've watched him and have been impressed with what we've seen.

 Jerry has had a really good run of form and he has probably edged out Rory based on his performances in the Heineken Cup.

 We've got a lot of good players who've got a lot of experience. We're trying to blend as a team.

 I shared the stage with Jerry for 35 years and think about him every time I pick up my guitar. This special coming together is one way to celebrate all that Jerry has given us - to feel alive and good with Jerry's spirit and smile.

 The good thing is that the young players have got some good experience, Andrew's played his first singles and we can get better,

 We lost seven starters from last year's team and four of them are playing in college. But we have six senior returning letter-winners and return 13 players with varsity experience.

 We're still young, but we have experience. We return all but one guy, so the players we have coming back know the system and know the routine. It's a more laid-back atmosphere than in the past. I don't know if that's good or bad, but we'll find out in about two weeks.

 We tried flipping our lines a little bit to lend maybe a little more balance. We're just trying to blend our experience, skills and youth a little better.

 We've got some youth there and not a lot of experience, but they're tough, physical players. We have four offensive linemen coming back, so it has been a point of emphasis to improve our running game. I think we will.
