 We're true citizen soldiers, so when we get the call, we jump up and take care of Texas people, give them whatever they need, and once we're finished, we'll go home.

 We in leadership are committed to producing the best possible care for soldiers. There were some perceptions and some realities here, so this team has come down here so that we can get soldiers either back to their missions or home as soon as possible.

 I had a great week -- a very inspiring one. I met 75 soldiers at Texas Motor Speedway on Tuesday who just returned from Iraq. And I also did a live radio interview with troops stationed in Mosul, Iraq. Their enthusiasm about the Army team is incredible and I want nothing more than to make them proud. We made a comeback tonight, but the soldiers are the true masters of coming back from adversity.

 Sgt. Riggs served in Iraq before coming here, ... He told me that one of the greatest joys for the soldiers over there is getting packages from home. He said it truly lifts their spirits to know that people do care and have not forgotten them. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring.

 People like that we give good service, and we can come to the home or to the office. I have another job also, but I really enjoy seeing the look on people's faces after I've finished detailing their car.

 The citizen soldiers of New York's National Guard have selflessly sacrificed to fight the war abroad and to defend our security at home. The government owes them nothing less than to support them with the absolute best training and equipment available.

 My grandmother didn't want to come to Atlanta; she wanted to stay home, ... I said, 'If anything happens, call me.' Everything has been OK so far. I have family in New Orleans. I hadn't talked to them. Some of the people I know went to Mississippi. Some went to Texas.

 I'm still a citizen of the United States and of Texas, ... And I'm proud of the Texas record in education.

 They also make lap quilts for wounded soldiers, which gives the soldiers a connection with people who care for them, and we will have two quilts on display.

 We just need to keep remembering these soldiers. Even the guys that are coming home safely, they are changed. You can't expect to be in a whole different country, in a different culture, and daily be shot at or be shooting at people without being changed. We need to make sure they know we care.

 You have to back (soldiers) up. You've got to give them clear rules and give them room to make mistakes so they aren't treated like criminals when they come home.

 I call Texas home now.

 While such essential care would not include the cost of visits to the doctor, our data suggest that people who receive additional assistance would be less likely to be hospitalized, and that could conceivably allow us to keep our health care-costs down while still providing for our frail elders. As our population ages, there will be more need to find economical ways to care for this group, and adequate home-based care could be both less expensive and more effective for some than full-time nursing-home care.

 This community has huge support for troops. People always want to do something but do not know how. The YMCA continues to help solders connect with their families. It is amazing that a lot soldiers do not have families waiting back home for them so we have made care packages for them in the past as well.

 BNSF is pleased to show its support for the Guard and Reserve by signing the '5-Star' Statement. We recognize and appreciate the sacrifice and service not only of the citizen-soldiers who are members of Team BNSF, but of all of America's heroes who have answered the call to serve and defend our country since September 11, 2001.
